ACOUSTIC WITH AN ATTITUDE

Yes, the bolt-on neck guitar you see here is an acoustic, even though it looks way different , and way cooler , than 90 percent of the staid dreadnoughts out there. The Dean Stage Acoustic (Standard $499, Deluxe $599) combines the comfort of an electric with the splendid sound of an acoustic; the latter of these attributes is made possible, partly, by a specially designed piezo saddle. The body of the Stage Acoustic is solid basswood hollowed-out, except for two blocks for the neck and bridge. This means the guitar requires no bracing, and allows the strings to run through the body and over the bridge at the maximum amount of tension to ensure piezo accuracy not to mention impressive resonance and sustain.

The Dean Stage Acoustic Standard has chrome hardware and is available in classic black, transparent purple or blue, and cherry sunburst. The Deluxe comes with a flame-top and gold hardware, and is available in transparent red or blue, and flame or spruce gloss.

It's not a conventional acoustic, but one that makes a difference while you're under those bright lights.
