My friend has an Alesis quadraverb that I am planning to buy from him. The thing is tho that he doesnt have a MIDI controller for it. I have no idea about anything when it comes to those and was wondering what is the cheapest, most reliable MIDI controller I can buy.

Second question is pretty stupid. Im buying a new strap and it has like a sort of drawstring on one end. I have never used a strap like that and will it work with schaller straplocks on my new Dean? I would include a link but my browser is acting really @#$%&$@ right now, but for reference, it is a Levy's tooled leather strap (w/bats in case u were wondering). All your responses are appreciated!

But i don't get how you would play it as a solo,i apologize as i know this is disgusting,so please forgive me,but if someone could be so kind as to go in-depth and detail to help me with putting scales and soloing together,i would be very much gratefull,thanks
P.S it's not that i can't solo as i can.

hokay so....
in a trivium instructional vid, matt does a "major sweep" and a "minor sweep" that are interchangable. when i ask my teacher about sweeps he gives me stuff that is position-specific. what are the interchangeable sweeps matt was doin?

and on the "soulstorm's a n00b" side of things....
teacher says stairway to heaven solo is a sure way out of n00bzville (not QUITE worded like that lol, would be sweet tho), anyone else think so? I trust him im just wonderin about others experiences.

How long were you playing before you could get a solo down well enough to play in front of an audience and not get booed?

I've been playing for two years, and I'm thinking now maybe that its not that I suck, its that I don't have enough experience...no, I've never gotten booed while attempting to play guitar >_>.

Ive been having trouble getting good pinch harmonic on my guitars. I can get good sounding ones on the DGBE strings but not on the lower two. Is my action to low or is it the tuning, the strings or what.

im havin some serious trouble with my writing.
it either sounds the same or i cant fit the different parts together.
i was wondering like how do you write a song. do you just sit down and mess around and come up with stuff or is it alot more complicated
basically can you describe your process on writing your songs
