Hi I am trying to learn a lot of rhythm riffs from hangar 18, I am ok up to the first solo. I have trouble hearing the rhythm in the background sometimes, the ones that are giving me trouble are

anywhere I can hear them isolated from the rest of the track tried searching on youtube. I am getting on quite well now with the intro, verse etc my main bits of trouble are the rhythm behind the later solo's as mentioned. I am also doing very well with the tracks she wolf and symphony of destruction now. thanks for any help....have a great week ....paul

Write Drum Parts or Guitar parts first?

I started taking lessons about a month ago and last week my teacher gave me a c major scale to practice. So i practiced it and now i can play it fast and i had never played anything like it before. I've always wanted to play like this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWVyO4gSq24 and mab but i thought that i would never be able to play like that but now i realized that it wasn't impossible because now i can play way beyond what i thought i could just by learning the c major scale. I've also been practicing these arpeggios http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1ctq07wGDc. yeah so my question is what should i practice now to eventuality maybe one day able to play like the gods. Also should i get the MAB speed kills dvd?
