Duminie DePorres on Dean
On Dec.23
1992, my trusty Tele failed me while in the studio recording what ultimately
became "LoveWar".The only electric in Bassment Sound was a
Hollywood Z . I was very impressed with its warmth, sincerity and crispness.
I searched for two years until I found my own Hollywood Z w/double octave
range. This served as my main axe until late 98 when after celebrating
the virtues of the Dean , I was granted an endorsement .
A beautiful Cadillac 3
became in no time my no nonsense, take no prisoners weapon of choice.
Solid . A classic full of power with insane sustain.Seriously, I
play the shit out of this guitar and it sneers at me daring me to
soar some more. Be there 20,000 people 20 or just the 2 of us a
new facet of sound is always revealed.6/2001,
4 hours before my flight left DETROIT for Seattle, my MACH 5 arrived
, didn't even get a chance to plug it in till soundcheck the next
day on the Sky Church stage at the EMP . WOW !!! Was it the spirit
of Jimi or maybe John Lee Hooker . Although very lightweight , this
thing is a virtual lighting bolt.
Heavy ,funky ,fiery and all things in between.I loved this guitar
so much that I used it exclusively on tour in Europe 2 weeks later. |
