David Smith, guitarist and main man for New York USA, cult metal band BLACKSMITH.
BLACKSMITH have been pounding out thunderous, old-school power metal riffs since the late 80's, into the 90's ("Fire From Within" and "Time out of Mind") and are now back together touring and working on several new releases for Heaven and Hell Records, the first of which is entitled "Strike While the Irons Hot".
Smith's thick-riffed guitar attack is the backbone of the Blacksmith sound and attitude. David has been playing Dean guitars for most of his life, wielding his first Dean Z model as a teenager. Smith has been an endorsed Dean Artist since 2002. David is also the founding member of the New York bands Bad Karma and Freaknation, wearing multiple hats as primary songwriter, guitarist, lead vocalist, and producer. Both Bad Karma and Freaknation have been touring extensively with multiple music releases over the last decade. Dave Smith is proud to fly the Dean wings high representing the Dean nation and brotherhood of Dean players.
