Bassist and vocalist Dr. Dave Burns has a unique style and expertise that comes from a career which has spanned more than 30 years.  From South Georgia, his career has taken him across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Europe.  Living the blues, working venues from roadhouses to concert halls.  He has worked with a wide range of artists ranging from Canned Heat, White Witch and the Fabulous Thunderbirds to Willie Nelson and Earl Thomas Conley.

Dave lived for many years in Mobile, Alabama and is no stranger to the Louisiana traditions, culture and music.  Whether a slow tearful ballad or a can't be still rocker, Dave's unique one of a kind style lays down a groove thicker than the best etoufee.  Together with AL they make a rhythm section that is anchored deep in Cajun blues.  Combined with the rest of the Heavyweights, the experience will have you rockin' for days.
