Hey guys. I got back from Dime's, G-site again a couple hours ago.
I cracked open a cold one, sat down, and played my razorback
for about an hour. Man I've been there before but today for some
reason, it hit me real hard. The guy we admired, who went around
the world and back many times entertaining his loyal fans, and
who was a friend and truly nice guy to everyone he ever met, is
only in our memories now. He had so much more shredding to do.
Just wanted to say hey, and I've been pretty bummed out this
afternoon. But I know Dimebag will live forever through his
true fans. I'm gonna go drink some beer and watch Pantera home
videos, they allways put me in a good mood.

I read somewhere that Pantera did a song for Spongebob Squarepants? It was in the episode called "Pre-Hibrination Week." Can someone upload the song or sometihng? I'm curious to hear is.

and people are selling these for prices so high that i'm starting

Can anyone help me with what setting on the whammy 1 or 4 dime uses for the domonation lead? Is it down a 3rd up a 5th ect.

OK, I bit the bullet and took a ride to GC the other day to see if they had any of the Deans. They had a few most notably the CFH and the DOF. So I was checking out the CFH, didn't plug it in cuz the store was already full of a ton of people all trying to see who could play the loudest. Anyway, my question is I thought that the CFH had an upgraded Floyd, I know it doesn't come with an original, but visually it looked EXACTLY the same as the DOF. No collar on the trem arm, just the usual screw in type. Is this just a f-up or do some of them come like that? I'm lookin to buy one within the next couple of months, I would just like some clarification. Thanks in advance.

Aye, I know it's not that well done (had to rush it before I went out this morning) and the recording quality isn't the best, but it's there.

I'm incapable of doing the harmonic squeels/divebombs that are usually in the solo, so I've just filled those couple of notes with whatever.

Haven't been able to play it long (only just learned it properly the other day) so, yeah, it is a little rough round the edges...

Does anyone know the set up dime used during the video shoot of cowboys from hell all the live footage from the cowboys from hell home video?? he was standing in front of a bunch of marshalls,I think they were out with priest at the time and may have back lined and used there rigs and added his rack????/Either way its one of my favortie diem tones the flange is set real high and gets to be a bit much but it sounds liek he is using tube amps if there is a way to get a randall to sound that way let me know beside the fact dimebag is the cat jamming threw it

Yea we know dime used to flip his pups. Supposedly after a while Seymour Duncan started producing there dimebucker flipped after a while. So how do i know if i have the old dimebucker or new dimebucker? I just bought it, but it could be new old stock. Anyway to tell if seymour duncan flipped it or not?

So Im looking for a picture from the Walk video.... the one at the end of the solo with the green light shining from behind!!! Im wanting to do the outline of him as a tattoo.... so if anyone has that or can clip that for me I would way greatly appreciate it!!!

I got Vinnie's signature a few months ago....finally got time to post here. Now I need Phil Anselmo's & Rex Brown's, then it will be COMPLETE!









A little background on this guitar: I consider this my tribute to Dimebag Darrell. I got this guitar off ebay, signed by Dimebag. I know it is geniune because Dime signed a few of these limited runs at the Washburn factory, plus Vinnie Paul authenticated it when I met him to sign it.

It came with chrome hardware and stock Washburn pickups. I replace the neck pickup with a Seymour Duncan 59' & the bridge with a Dimebucker. Then I replace all the chrome hardware with black hardware and added an Original Floyd Rose. This guitar is not played, and is in it's case where it's nice & safe.

I'm going to buy distortion pedal and stopped my choise on Boss Metalzone and MXR DimeDistortion. What do you think about them? Which of them is better?

I bought it a while ago for about £200 i hardly get a chance to use it because i have little time it works perfectly and it is for use in the UK it is 240 volts. I would be willing to trade or part trade for cash and whatever else. I'll put up some pics if needed.

I think it would be better in the hands of someone who will use it as it's just wasting here in my living room. I have some other gear that i don't use that i will probably be getting rid of. Anyone interested just say what you want to do right here and i'll be watching ok.

Well I contacted Torres today and ordered 2 BLUSA L-500-XL's
and they should arrive by Friday. Now, I want to install one in
my FBD and put the Dimebucker in another axe thats got a
H/S/H configuration... anything I should know about before I go through with this? any special connections that need to be made? My 1st time installing them.

Hey guys I just got my new flanger/doubler in the mail today (got it on ebay for $185!!! ), I havent had too much time to mess with it but I so far it sounds great! I have a few questions about it though. I fired it up late so i had to use headphones but what I noticed is that the doubling effect seems to sap the volume a bit, anyone else have this? i havent messed around with the knobs to much to see if thats the problem but i can tell a definate volume swell when i turn the bypass button on. I was also wondering what the i/o on the back were besides the obvious instrument i/o, and lastly is there a pedal that can be used to turn it off and on, id hate to have to manualy go up to the thing to turn it off. thanx!

As far as I know Dime used Vox Wah Wah pedal in VDOP album. I've never tried that one and my question is - does it really sound like in Live In A Hole song 00:10-00:43 time span? Or it sounds some other product? Or it's some set of pedals?... Thanks.

I just recieved my Warhead X2 and all the guys are right about this thing. It is super beefy and loud!!! No joke, I'm on 1 and its already louder than my old Cyclone was on 6.

I've heard the X2 being refered to as an RG100ES on steroids. It's about right. It has that old Randall gain that you hear on Cowboys and Vulgar. It's got a nice big bottom end and a mid-range crunch that I was lacking with my other head. It's a frequency that I had found in the Crate amps, but I never realy liked crates.

Anyway, if anyone has the chance to get one, I suggest it. I also suggest a noise gate, because man this beast needs a collar, just to show it who's boss.

A limited number of these guitars were made, It has a basswood body, mahogany neck, and is signed by all 4 members of Pantera!

He wants $900 + Shipping for the guitar. Im pretty sure it was made in 2000 and it has been sitting in the back of my dealers store since then. It is in mint condition!

hey guys whats up?I'm wanting to get a piece of recording equipment kinda cheap but not crap am willing to pay about 200 for one something like the line 6 rifftracker i need one with a built in drum machine cheers in advance guys!

Lately I found myself sifting through a guitarmag from the days that Pantera had just released "Cowboys" and in an Randall ad, Dime (still Diamond Darrel in those days) is seen playing an ML with a reversed Jackson style pointy headstock. The guitar was blue with lightning bolts but unlike the Dean from hell, it had all black hardware.

Then I found some footage on Youtube of Dime playing a similar one but in pewter.

Anybody got the lowdown on those Deans?

I think I need to explain this one. apart from loving everything that has to do with guitars I also love to draw comics, EROTIC comics. Mostly fan stuff based on the MTV show Daria.

In my "Daria joins the triple cross club" story (links are given only through requests) I drew a scene in which Daria is talking about the guys who she had a crush on in the series. Those of you familiar with the series know that her first crush was on Trent Lane, the leadsinger and guitarist of a local metal band, who also happened to be the older brother of her best friend.
