Just added one to my collection of amps and wanted to know some settings to try on it to get a good dime tone. I know he used lots of bass nearly no mids and enough treble to make a glacier split.I have a rak system w/a 31 band eq,so any eq tips will help too. Thanx.

Now correct me if im wrong (I probably am) but isnt that an RG100ES XP head? I thought the RG80ES heads were 100 watts not 150? Either way im not sure why he listed it as a Warhead AND a combo when its clearly not either of these, seems to me an uneducated dimebag fan will buy this thinking its a warhead, although from the pics im sure they'd be able to tell its not a combo


EDIT: Also if its an XP model it will have been made somewhere around '89 - '91, so somehow I dont think its 27 years old

hey guys i hated how when you pull the tremble knob out the amp has no volume... so i put a duncan booster in the loop and ...... the amps sound killer now.. more gain also showed its face.... just a few riffs and messin around. video is not working yet ill post the link when it does,,,

I need some help with my Washburn Dime 2ST Stealth.

I'm ordering an Original Floyd Rose to replace the Licensed Floyd Rose that is on my Washburn Dime 2ST Stealth, I'm wondering if their is anyone on the forum that has done this to their 2ST Stealth before, I need help badly

I'm worried that the OFR posts will not fit properly in the Licensed Floyd Rose post holes or cavity and I don't know which neck radius I need, I also don't know which string spacing I need on the new Original Floyd Rose nut, wide spacing, narrow or neither?

I want my Original Floyd Rose "nut" string spacing to be the same as or close to the same as my Licensed Floyd Rose "nut" string spacing because it plays great and I don't want to change that. I'm not interested in keeping the Licensed Floyd Rose "nut" on my 2ST though.

I visit Dimes Grave everday, say a prayer for him, and tell him alot of stuff, i could just sit there and talk to him for hours about anything, last time i visited i left him a Kiss Hotter then hell record from japan, in the best condition and came back 30 min later and it was gone, i dont know if it was stolen or the cemetary owners took it but alot of the times they should just leave stuff there, i visit alot haha sometimes i leave some dimbags, and fireworks, also ace stuff, dime was the greatest and for all u guys to be supporting for so long is a beautiful thing, as they say pantera fans are there greatest fans in the world, dime fans are greater then anything, RIP brother Dime. and thank you guys for reading

Hi guys, i hope this hasn't been answered before, i searched the forum + the web but couldn't find anything useful. Also the furman pq4 manual wasn't very useful. Anyway, i've been experimenting with my pq4 lately - though in general its place is in the effects loop of the x2. Last time, i hooked it in the effects loop of my marshall 6100lm amp. I never liked the lead channel of that amp BUT with great surprise i found that the furman along with my usual amp settings + a Bad monkey + MXR 10band in front gave me a wonderful metal tone - i couldn't imagine that from a marshall. Anyway, the tone has the gain texture of Paradise Lost - Icon album which i always liked. The only thing is that whenever i play a single note - be it in lead,crunch or even clean channel - the overload led in the furman blinks. The only way to make it stop blinking is by engaging the loop level switch on the back of my amp (which i think levels the signals from the amp and the effects loop). However, in this setting the sound loses some of its raw and punchy attributes. In the manual it said that if it overloads you should reduce the gain blah,blah,blah.

However, it doesn't say whether it is dangerous for the eq to be overloaded all the time. So... my question is (technically speaking)... is it dangerous for the eq to be constantly overloaded or is it just an indication that my sound is clipping? Thanks a lot guys.

So I got the whole tune down now. Its frackin solid. The riff at 2:43 is giving me trouble. I can't seem to get the notes just right. Dime worked out a hard one in that tune. Does anybody know what he's playing there or have a guitar world with this riff tabbed out? Maybe riffermadness?
I'm stuck and I want to play it right to the best of my abilities.
