Went to Guitar Center the other day to pick up a pack of strings and help a buddy look for a new acoustic. I've been looking for a new wah, so I've made it a habit to look at the used pedals section of all the shops that I go into. Well, I happened to glance in the case and right on the top: MXR Six Band EQ.
The paints in a little rough shape, but everything else works fine, I just opened her up today to clean out a bunch of gunk built up on all the sliders. The kicker though: cost me a whole $20. Sure made my day .
What is this black pedal in this DamagePlan picture?
Hi
Can anyone tell me what the black pedal is in this damageplan pic. His black camo sig wah has one dial and the other black one has two dials like the slash type. Think it is a little hard to find. Like a 535 or 535Q or 535 ish tpye pedal but with two dials. Can anyone help me out?
Cheers

Official Live 101 Proof T-Shirt..
Hey guys, i just got back from vacation last night. While i was in Switzerland i was looking through some random store and found a Pantera Official Live 101 Proof T Shirt, I'd never seen it before and thought it was rare so i bought it for about 30 USD. Has anyone ever seen one of these shirts before? I can't find anything about them online. Here it is:

Can anyone tell me what all of this in this DamagePlan rig?
Can anyone tell me what the gear is is each of these four DamagePlan pics.
This is what I sort of know;
MXR 6 band Eq pedal,
Dunlop Jimi Hendix Systems JH-3S Octave fuzz pedal,
A Peterson Auto strobe tuner thing which I don't know alot about but I would appreciate any info,
3 channel selecter pedal,
A type of Grady Champion Remote True Bypass looper pedal thing (i'm guessing) The thing with the (1) and the (FX) on it. Can anyone give me any info?
I don't know what these first two rack units are at the top,
One Furman PQ4,
Another Furman PQ4,
Some sort of guitar silencer don't know what make,
And I can't tell what that rack unit at the bottom of the image is at all. Can anyone help?
Some sort of Furman EQ. Can anyone help?
Some sort of power conditioner,
Shure U4D wireless transmitter
Some sort of rack unit that I have no idea again,
A Korg ract tuner.
Thanks for your help.

Somthing about the Trendkill
I dont know if anyone knows it here, but on the side of the guitar right above where it says Trendkill, It says Roswell, thena number after it i think it said 59 or somthing. I was just flipping through one of my old Dime Guitar mags when i noticed it in one of the pics.
SO dude thatw as goona get some lmtd runs made check it out.
yet another cemetery gates solo
Yeah, I know, there's a million of these, but this is just what I was able to do. I've spent many hours, slowing down the song and watching Dimebag play it live.
Keep in mind, I've been playing only 2 and a half years.

I don't know alot about Washburns, but the edges look more rounded then other 333 models, and the "crotch" of the body looks like it doesn't line up with the FR. Just thought this might be a scam.
ya hey im selling mine, its in great shape and sounds killer just dont play often enough and could use the cash!

randall rg100ht rackmountable head
i have one of these, and you guys seem kinda of interested in them, while i can't wait to get rid of it(i need something with a footswitch, and i play pop punk)
soundwise this amp is great, and mechanically, there is nothing wrong with the amp,no knobs missing, but the front has been scratched up pretty bad, and the top is covered in stickers(i'm gonna see how well i can get these off after school today)
i'd really love another head, one that has a footswitch as well, or i'll just take cash/paypal and go buy myself a new head
first $250(plus shipping if applicable) takes it
email me at herestolife1000@gmail.com
here are some pics of the amp!

small randall rg100ht mod
i read on harmony central(in a review) that if you don't have a footswitch, you can take a piece of conductive wiring, and let's say you just wanted channel 2, so you put one end of the wiring on the left bottom hole, and the other end on the right bottom hole
and then the light for channel 2 lights up and you only hear channel 2
and the same works for channel 1, but you put the wire in the top two holes
can't figure this out...

Is it fair to ask if one of these amp heads are better than the other..?
- Randall RG-100HT
- Randall RG-100ES
Was wondering if anyone has this amp, and if it sounds good. just looking for opinions.

krank cabs vs vader cabs???????
im getting a custom 8 string made and im wondering if anyone has tried these cabs and if anyone knows which cab would be able to handle the guitar better? i have randall xl cabs and im wanting to use 4 cabs and kinda mix sounds. i'll either be using a vetta II head or a amp fx or possibly a peavey 6505+. im wanting something that can handle the low end of the 8th string without being boomy sounding.

Randall Demos (Dime)
by Dimekid on Sat Sep 13, 2008 3:10 am
Back in 2000...98...don't remember but
I was on Randallīs website and I remember that I was
looking for Dime's amp and they have audio links.
Don't remember much about it but one of those demos
sounds like Territory of sepultura main riff!
Does someone remember...something?
Was a Dime signature amp or other randall?
Was Dime playing that?
Sorry about my english
i know to some of you its old news, but i picked up the dimevision dvd at best buy and was really blown away. i never met the main man personally but after watching it i feel like i did. some truly amazing footage. if anyone knows of any other pantera /damage plan vids give a mention i need more concert video
Hey guys
Just got a mint condition Randall Century 200 head with manual and footswitch and was wandering what dime used for 2 cabs? What randall 4x12 and 2x15 cabinets did he use? What model were they and did he have these before the wrhead 4x12 and 2x15 cabs?
Thanks

What a horrible day for me as a Dime fan
by jairic on Mon Sep 15, 2008 12:49 am
Friday evening I went to Guitar Center. I'm trying to get rid of my RGR1570 and I've been dying to get a Dean Dime of some sort. My local GC has had them on sale for $499, but when I went there Friday night, they were on sale for $380, and the Razorbacks were $600. Being a huge Dimebag fan, I was elated that I had been fortunate enough to find this deal on payday none the less. I checked my wallet to be sure and I was around $40 short. My emotions got the better of me and I asked about trading my RGR (that I bought for $850) in for the Dime-O-Flame, but since it was a "blowout" they didn't take trades or layaway. So, to put my mood conservatively my weekend was ruined. I haven't even been able to find Dime-O-Flames going for $380 even used on ebay....
Worst luck ever~!
But if anyone is near Rockford, Il swing by GC if you want a great deal on a Dean.
Pretty sweet eh?
Washy Damageplan steel geet
If Dime didn't like the tone of the RTS guitar, why did he have a second one made?

Cowboys from Hell (Classical cover)
by Trashed on Wed Sep 17, 2008 4:49 pm

Pantera and Sepultura have both been covered in very different ways recently, as British pop group Spiritwo has revealed their own rendition of the Sepultura staple "Inner Self" and violinist Rachel Barton Pine has translated the Pantera classic "Cowboys From Hell" into the world of classical music world. You can check out videos of both covers below.
"Inner Self" comed from Sepultura's breakthrough album "Beneath The Remains" which was released in 1989. The album was the bands first release which allowed them to tour outside of Brazil.
"Cowboys From Hell" comes off Pantera's 1990 album of the same name which also saw them break into the limelight and gain international recognition. |

Ok, I was just wondering something. Dimes early deans had the les paul angle because they had the tune-o-matic bridge. I guess this is why when he put a floyd on the dfh and the fbd it did not require a recessed floyd rose cavity because of the height of the bridge and the angle of the neck. After moving to WB guitars all his guitars had the recessed floyd, and even after he moved back to dean, they were recessed. If dime loved the dfh the most, why did he go with a different floyd set-up(recessed)? It seems to me that if he loved the dfh's setup, he would have demanded that all his custom guitars be set up in the same fashion, with the neck having that lp angle and non recessed floyd. Just seems like it would be a major factor in his playing style since the dfh was his fave. any thoughts?

what does 333 mean? why did dime use it so much?
Wow, this one sure is a lot of fun to play with. That chromatic string ascending diminished lick is crazy to try to figure out and play at that speed.
As the solo is the main focus, ignore the stuff after it. Or not. Whatever.
Enjoy.

The journey to Texas..., *PrOnZ added*
In case you don't want to scroll down, here's what my buddy Mitch made:
So, my buddy (also my old guitar player) calls me to tell me that he'll be visiting Montreal from Myrtle Beach (last week), and he's gonna make me a cool "one off" gift (knowing I'm a Dime fan). I said I'd throw a few buck$ his way to make some extras, but he won't take money from me. He made two..., so I have one, and I decided to send the 2nd one to Texas. For years now, I've wanted to drive my USA built motorcycle back to it's homeland, South of the border. So today was the day. Here's the journey in pictures:
2 small custom gifts made in Myrtle beach by my buddy Mitchell. No pics available..., but here's some pics of me and Mitch. Mitch made the gifts, he's in the middle:
I bet he misses his hair
Got my wallet, my passport, and the gift ready to be mailed to Texas:
Gift about to leave South Shore Montreal:
It's for Mr Rottingcorpse, so I better store it some place safe He'll say that he used rubber gloves to open it..., but he'll probably just sniff it.
Bike and the gift warming up in my driveway, chilly this Morning:
"Service au Volant"..., "Fly Thru Service"..., ahhh, French Canada!!! Good coffee there though.
Highway 30 heading to the 15. Then to interstate 87 South. Delivery service with style:
While we're talking "style", how 'bout my buddy Richard's bike (Slick Rick)..., owner of "Slick Styled Steel" Tattoo & body piercing:
http://www.slickstyledsteel.com/
Always bring a mechanic when you've got an old bike in the pack Hey Marco!!!
Fat ass on that......., Harley Fat fender, ya know?!?
Me leading the pack..., hey, isn't that a song?!?
"Douanes" is french for "Customs". One kilometer (about half a mile to the border)..., ahh, so close:
Ahhh..., U.S of A!!! Finally:
Here's the gift on a highway sign..., hopefully the postman will know to take it South, not North
My buddy "Cricket" at the post office..., don't lose that envellope!!!
I'd post pics of the gift, but it's a surprise. I'll post some once it arrives South. I tell ya..., if it weren't for family obligations, I would have driven the thing all the way to Arlington!!!
Maybe next time
