ok so no one wants to buy my razorback so im just going to have to make it different. i have a friend who does professional painting and airbrushing and im having some trouble coming up with a good design to do. its going to be a dime tribute but i need some thoughts and maybe some inspiration here. I am wanting to find out if the guy that posted those bad things about Dime has ever heard of this song. I hope so, cause I would like to think that the editor for the news article killed himself after he heard this song. Its a bad thing to say that about someone; but guess what, he said Dime got what he deserved. Thats a load of s#%t! Dime was a talented musician and now he is gone. His music will live on through all of us; and will be carried on for the rest of time. Through all of the musicians that love the music. Hey everyone! Well I want your guys opinion on this.
There is a guy who wants to trade me a 100w Krankenstein half stack, for my Razorback 10K and my Dave Mustaine Axxion guitar.

Now the Axxion was only made in 2005 and is very hard to find as the years pass, and also the 10K is limited and will soon be hard to find also.

Now outta my 7 guitars I would place these two at #2 and #3.
Almost my best guitars.....

The guy is asking $3000 for the Krankenstein, but said he would trade me.....all my friends say keep my guitars because I'll never be able to find more of them guitars....and the amp will always be available.

I really want a Krankenstein but very tough thinking about giving my #2 and #3 guitars for it....that's rough.

Anyway family, what would you guys do?

I've got a Dean Dimeslime with a licenced FR trem in it and i'm having a problem with the bar coming loose on it all the time... ten minutes of whammy abuse and i have to tighten it up again. other than that i have no problem with it. anything i could do to remedy this problem?

Also, i've been told a real Floyd Rose trem won't have this problem?? are there any other advantages to them? Maybe tonally or whatever??

Also, do all of the Dime Deans have kinda smallish frets? i'm so used to the extra jumbo frets on the ESP ltd's.

I haven't been on these forums FOREVER. Maybe someone remembers me by the name darrell_dimebag_tribute from before. I got my first wings from the BRG guys, and in the meanwhile I got myself an import DFH, and basically made my dreams come true. I founded a band and we're gonna be recording some awesome thrash album in the near future.

So what did I miss?

By the way, I am posting here because I am interested in that new line of Dime amps! Damn they sound sexy! I used to beat myself up over the fact that I won't get another chance at obtaining a Randall RG100ES, but this seems to be the answer to my prayers. It's kinda the same amp one would say?

So, when do these babies ship to retailers? What are people's thoughts? Are people still using "+1" or is it already a trend to say "PLUSONE"?

Been tweaking the new RG80es this weekend and was wondering what you guys think of the CFH tone? MXR 10 band in the loop. I tried moving the cam farther away but again it still sounds trebley due to my crappy camera. Oh, and sorry for the drunk playing.

Has the hardest to match timing EVER. I have all the notes down, and can play them in order with the slides, but in time it goes to crap.

it will come with practice though. I've only been at it about two hours.

I just bought one of these from the US and I live in Norway, so I was just wandering if anyone had the power changed from 110 V to 220V? Is it easy to get it done? I also have a transformer that I could use but i would rather change it to 220 V. I suppose that's the safest way to go:)

I think I also read somewhere that someone on Ebay make footswitches for this amp. Any tips?

Well i am sad to say I am no longer the owner of a Razorback 10K....

When I went to buy it, it looked amazing! But when I picked it up I seen that the top that looks like metal but is a plastic pickguard, was not sitting right on the guitar. Was warped.

The guitar it self was amazing! Really nice V neck. So even thou it was not sitting right in a few spots, I bought it for $1430.

Next day it really started bugging me how the top was installed.
I called Dean's customer service in Florida. Talked to Brad.
He said that it would be very hard to contact the third party company over in Korea to get another one. He said they come with them already on the guitars. And if I was unhappy to simply bring the guitar back to the store and order a new one while they are still in stock.
And confirmed for me that they where still available.

Next day I called the store I bought it at, and asked for a new one.
About a week goes by, then the store calls me and says that Dean's canadian distributioner wants to see my guitar before they will send a new one. .... Fine. I brought the guitar to the guitar store the next day. It got mailed to Toronto.

So now when it's in Toronto they call the guitar store and say that they have new tops in-stock and if I wanted a new 10K then it would be a 60 day waiting period. :S

I liked the guitar so much I said ok if they can fix it without putting more screws in the front then I would be happy.

So after a total of 3 weeks now the guitar came back today, I asked the manager how it looked.
He said it looked good but had more screws in the top.
I asked like how many we talking? I counted them before and there was 30, he put the phone down and then came back and said there were now over 60 screws in the front of the guitar!

Needless to say I was upset to hear what they did.....
Told the guitar store I don't want it back like that, and instead got a new Dean Dave Mustaine Gears of War Signature V.

I can't be any more happy with my new V. Love it.

But I just wanted to share my story, I can't believe they would put over 60 screws in the top holding the top down......

I could have screwed more screws in.... didin't need to be shipped to Toronto. I'm pretty upset at Dean. But I do just love my new Dean Dave Mustaine guitar so....I'm gonna forget about this ordeal.





I wish Dean would pay Dime better tribute. And not let bad guitars make it outta Florida. R.I.P. Dime Miss you everyday....

Hey everyone i got my slime today and im VERY happy with it. there are a number of clear coat blems but other than that everything was perfect for me. i havnt even taken the time to set it up the way i like it but as of right now i dont see the point because its set up so well out of the case. the neck is VERY comfortable to say the least....well anyway enough of me blabbin and lets get down to the pics

















btw im not the best photographer in the world.. haha anyway im gonna replace the pups with a B&B L-500XL and a green and yellow dimarzio PAF pro. im also gonna put in 2 push/pull pots for the volume knobs.

I'm getting this today but wont have the cab until next week.

Can I power it up or will it damage the head?

maybe this would be better in the tech area, and Im sure its been asked a hundred times and I know what google is, but is the cfh guitars neck start with a v and go into a c shape toward the higher frets on the neck? mY serial numbers are y06020484 so Im guessing its an 06 model. Was the real dfh's neck like this? or was it v through? just wondering and drunk.

wow this has been a painful thread to read. dude, make that buddy into a clock and sell it on ebay for a hundred bucks and get you some mahagony and start the fvck over. Not trying to be harsh, but so far seems like a nightmare. Take what you have learned and apply it to the next project. I am not an azz. I get no pride or joy from telling you this, but dude, i guarantee dime would say, if it ain't right it aint' right. Face the problem head on and you will be better for it. you learned a valueable lesson from this and I bet you won't do it again. Start over bro with quality wood. I'ts maple right? Nothing against maple, but for a stealty project I would say mahonogy. I spelled that wrong. I am drunk on blacktooths. Sorry brother, but you can not fudge in this area of the build. much love and U WILL GET IT! I promise. U got the heart, now you are getting the talent.
