Anyone ever hear Nickelbacks tribute songs to Dime? Its called side of a bullet. I dont like Nickelback but when I heard they did a tribute to Dime I had to check it out. But the best part is this: the solo in the song is a previously unrealeased solo of Dime's that they dubed in! Its one of his best. Tell me what you guys think.

This is not a thread asking how to prefrom his trademark sqeals. At the end of songs aroung the RTS and NFP era, Dime would always hit these sqeals but they would be harmonized. Anyone know about this or if it was his whammy pedal or what?

Ive only now decided that i wanted to learn the domination solo, ive found some good tabs etc.... and good videos on youtube that show the different techniques but theres just one problem,

i cant get the stretch from 12th 15th and 18th the hammer on scale close to the beggining!!!!

i can do all the rest but i just can not do this part, i can stretch loads on the higher strings but i just cant grasp how to position my hand on the lower E A D STRINGS!!!?

Firstly would he have used 3 amps or 2? One for distortion one for reverb lead distortion and one for clean?

Or One for distrotion and one for clean?


Secondly I was wondering if anyone knew what Dime used for his clean amp. Was it a Randall or a tube? Difficult to answer i'd imagine.




I have a century 200 and I have the footswitch. The head has the reverb on/off footswitch port but I don't have the footswitch.



He can't have used the other channel because firstly it doesn't sound pretty, you can get it to sound good with the reverb but I read a thread here that he may have used another amp. Which could have also been a tube possibly.

I have to turn my overive pedal which makes the distortion channel perfect, off when I have to step on the cahnnel B at the same time when I want to acheive a clean tone. This is probably the main reason why I thought he must be using another amp.



I read the thread on here about what amp splitter type amp changer thingy. That orange morley lynch A B Y Boost pedal thing looks appropriate.

I think that Drop D is it? guy may build these type of things and may know what he's on about.



Ultimately I want to be on distortion with overdrive pedal on.

Then go to the same distortion with reverb (lead) without turning the dial on the head (This must be possible with the footswitch that I don't have or something else!).

Then go to clean with one press of a button whether that requires me to get another amp and the a switcher pedal that switches to the clean and cuts the other amps off?

I want the Dean From Hell, BUT I hate having the same guitars as everyone else and don't want to be a copycat. I don't have a Dime axe and would love to have one because I'm a huge Pantera fan.

I'm not trying to be a poser I just really want this guitar. I have realized since being here that a pretty large portion of the community on this forum have the DFH.

The price for painting a guitar depends on the design and condition of the guitar. But, to give you an example, I have done the wavy confederate (like what I did originally on Dime's) on a good clean body for $1200. Body work or a more complex design would be more. Simpler would be less.

I've been looking for custom knobs, truss rod covers, and switch plates for my ML and have come up short on selection. Anyone have any links for companies who might specialize in this type of thing?

Hi ,,I just got a half stack Randall Warhead first generation,, the one that has the on switch on the back ,, also this one doesnt have the gain boost pull knob,, but still i plugged my Maxon 808 in front of it and it screams, i wish it had the gain boost pull knob but i wonder if thers any mod to put a gain boost pull switch,, also if i want to use a different cab other than the matching cab,, should I get a 4x12 rated at 16 or 8 ohms? i mean,, thers nothing that says in the back of the cab but just speaker outputs,, so I am a little confused,, the cab has two inputs and it says full range,,anybody has an answer to whats the ohm rating on the head and the ohm rating on the cab?
