Randall Titan
by Uplift on Fri Jun 11, 2010 5:39 am
Hey guys, been a long time since I posted here..
I've been trying to get an amp that I can get a pretty good heavy tone out of for a while. Similar to that of Dimes on VDOP. I had a Randall RG100 but that sh!t the bed so I recently scored a Randall Titan off of craigslist. I know dime had one from the pictures I saw that allovertonight posted. I was wondering what people thought about them/how they sounded. Do they have good distortion? Can I get good tone out of them? Any answers would be appreciated.
Thanks
Hey Guys,
I was told this is the place to look. I've been combing the search engine but there are just so many posts and I am having no luck.
I recently purchased a Dean From Hell and in honor of Dimebag I'd like to dress it up a little. I'm trying to locate a printable KISS Decal. I was told it was somewhere in these forums.
If anyone knows the official link offhand and can direct me to it I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanx
Anyone have the photo of Dime skatebording in a larger size?
I'm not lazy... Search is down... Don't kill me...
I'm just curious man... What's up with this new Dime head I keep seeing? Is it something specially designed to easily replicate Dime's original sound? What is it? Dime never played it so I'm trying to figure out why his name is on it.
What ever happened to the Warhead? They do away with that? And what's up with the Krank Distortion and Overdrive pedals?... Anyone try them together? I know Dime used his Dime Distortion with a Zakk Wylde overdrive...
Anyway... Just wondering if this head was produced to eliminate the need for all the effects and achieve the same sound. If not... Why was it produced?

I just got it in the mail today... Haven't had a chance to read it yet. But it looks VERY promising.
It's called "A Vulgar Display of Power" Courage and Carnage at the Alrosa Vista
I'll let you guys know more when I'm finished reading it. So far just flipping through the pictures I spotted a nice pic of Gale dead on the floor. I still can't believe it even took place after all these years. Pantera was so relaxed and allowed fans on stage. It was very cool of them but at the same time it was that relaxed atmosphere that made it so easy.
I can remember when I first heard the news. I didn't know what to think. I almost had no emotion at all. I began combing the internet to see if it were true. How could it be? Impossible... I was in shock for the most part ya know? On stage? Where was security? How did he get in with a gun?
Here it is almost 6 years later and I still have a hard time believing it even took place.
Anyway... Sorry for babbling... This book is bringing out emotion in me.
I'll let you all know how the book turns out.
Dime and B.C Rich Guitars
by Jewel on Tue Jun 22, 2010 9:33 pm
What was the model he played when he was jamming on B.C Riches? I know I seen a pic once that looked like a sick ass ML kinda stealth looking or close to the B.C Rich stealth also. Could have been the dark dark lighting but anyone know what models he played with B.C Rich?
Which model Century is this?

Hey All
I'm back! shortly after buying my diamondplate it was obvious i had become addicted to the stealth's feel, playablity,&,the killer look of these guitars....so, where do you go when you're looking for a dimebag guitar? after weeks of searching ebay & the dean forum here it was clear there was only one guy to call,Corpse!!!
I PM'd Corpse asking if he knew anyone selling a black & silver st-3 pro...he said..."i do" his name is greensnake. he gave me greensnake's contact info & sure enough he not only had one ,but it was well taken care of & he was looking to sell it! i thought, this is great! i called Corpse & thanked him for hooking me up....
I thought to myself after i hung up the phone "that was soo easy!" & that i probably wouldn't be hearing from Corpse until he made his way to my neck of the woods. Well, i was very wrong....To my surprise a few days later Corpse sent me a text saying "hey i'm on the road right now , but wanted to make sure Greensnake had called you back & that the deal was set...every step of the way The Corpse was checking in making sure that i was being well taken care of & that the stealth would be in my hands as soon as possible
Honestly a deal has never went as smooth as this transaction did for me & i feel a need to send out hugely deserved props out to not only Greensnake for selling me this black beauty, but to my brother Corpse for having my back every step of the way...seriously i have at least two voicemails from Corpse just checking in to make sure not only would i get the stealth fast, but that i would be more than satisfied with the guitar as well as the transaction
So...i have to send HUGE THANKS to both Corpse & Greensnake for helping me make this happen!!!! Oh & Greensnake? brother you have this baby dialed in perfectly!!! it plays AMAZINGLY!!!!

In a 2005 interview, Damageplan manager Paul Bassman said unreleased recordings before Darrell's death were near completion. He commented, "Vinnie Abbott has said there will be a follow-up album down the road, as Dime would have wanted his music to be heard."
And since 2007 we have been promised Dimevision 2... Both Vinnie and even Paul Rachman said Dime had literally hundreds of hours of footage.
So what gives? Why does it seem like Vinnie is simply moving forward and putting Dime in the past?
Dean Dime Blacktooth Amp (I know subject beaten to death)
by RayLam on Mon Jun 28, 2010 9:24 am
Hey guys was just wondering if anybody picked one up yet, and if so how is it? Another qustion is, do you need a PQ3 or 4 to dial in the tone or is it all built right in there right outta the box?
And on comes the bashing. LOL. be gentle.
What's up fella's...
I'm planning on getting the Dimebag tribute tatt and I'd like to top it off with his autograph beside it... Kind of like the seal-the-deal Dime did with Ace...
Problem is... I can't seem to find a good enough shot of his auto. It's always on something and the main focus is what it's on.
This is the closest I can find it's it's not clean and clear enough.
Anyone got a better shot?

So here's a little story I dug up about Pantera more than Dime.
We'll tell you what the state of "heavy metal" is - it's dented.
Nothing that couldn't be repaired, thank goodness, but Lord Stanley would not have been amused.
You may remember the story: The 108-year-old Stanley Cup was damaged two years ago during a wild party in Texas, of all places. Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul recalls the victory bash he hosted for his pals the Dallas Stars. They'd won it in six, rallied by a fight song he wrote called The Dallas Stars Theme Song. No sense in getting fancy. It worked - a testament to the rallying power of heavy metal.
There was much rejoicing.
"We had a little party over at my house after they won the Cup," Paul says. "They felt my song helped propel them to win, so they brought it over to my house. The entire team came, and at one point, Guy Carbonneau decided he wanted to toss the Cup off the balcony into the pool."
The shot went wide. "It went DINK! on the side before it went in. That's how the infamous dent got in the Cup. It just knocked it out of round, kind of made it more oval down at the bottom," he laughs.
There was a brief uproar, but the Cup-keeper soon hammered it back in shape and all was well.
Do not expect to hear The Dallas Stars Theme Song when Pantera performs Monday night at the AgriCom. There will be some Oilers in the crowd, says Paul, who's tight with several players on the team.
I suppose we ought to talk about music at some point here, although the drummer even talks like a hockey player. As the guy in the band who does most of the interviews, Paul serves up quotes of the "we-came-to-play-today" variety. In a way, a heavy metal band is just like a hockey team - except Pantera scores every night.
The band is touring in support of its latest album, Reinventing the Steel, "the best record we've ever made," Paul says.
It's the band's first studio album in four years, a delay explained by the fact that Ozzy Osbourne called to say he was getting Black Sabbath back together and would be delighted to have Pantera open the tour. They couldn't say no. Black Sabbath was the reason Pantera got into heavy metal, just as Pantera inspires the young headbangers of today.
"Music is just like a big chain that keeps following itself," Paul says.
There's a simple secret to Pantera's success as road warriors for the last 12 years - "Drink all the f---ing water you can!" Yes, but something else, too. Featuring vocalist Philip Anselmo, guitarist Dimebag Darrell and bassist Rex Brown, Pantera is a band more concerned with live shows than selling albums. It seems so rare these days.
"We've never been a band that has had major mainstream radio," Paul says. "You don't see us on music television very often. Playing live is what we're all about. When we write songs, we're thinking about how it's going to move the audience. We're proud of the fact that we've been able to do what we do the way we do it without having to conform to whatever the trend is.
"These rap metal bands that are going to sell four million records, two years from now there's going to be another trend and their career is over.
"We're really happy about the way we did it. We don't get as much notoriety, but to me, we're like the Black Sabbath of this decade. Our fans are always there for us."
In other words, they play to win.
This is, by the way, Pantera's Edmonton debut.
"It's going to be a blast, man," Paul says. "It's our first time and we're going to blow the roof off the place."
Just don't damage any Oilers relics at Northlands or there'll be hell to pay.
It's a cheapy without a floyd... But what the hell man... I don't have the money right now... Those of you who got to know me know you all recently convinced me to take lessons so I started that yesterday and it was $120 to sign up so basically the wife told me "NO!"
Anyway... I'm sure someone in this forum may want it for the sake of Dime memorabilia... And at that price... WTF!!!
So I pass this on to you... I dunno if the kid is willing to ship or anything but it never hurts to ask
