pantera megadeath feud????
by clownusmaximus on Thu Aug 04, 2011 7:19 pm
iv never heard of this before but was reading wiki and it said this ''He also cited thrash giants Anthrax, Metallica and, despite a sometimes vicious feud, Megadeth as primary influences''

can someone enlighten me as to the ins and outs of the dispute please Very Happy

ok so iv read dave said pantera had ripped him off but thats hardly a ''vicious feud''
CFH
by nickevans on Fri Aug 05, 2011 2:53 pm
This girl plays CFH on the drums flawlessly and some of her facial expressions make it seem like she has a hard time believing she is playing so well.

"farewell ballad"
by finnstrip on Sun Aug 07, 2011 4:35 am
I watched the YouTube video for a hundredth time (the one where Zakk Wylde plays the tune this shot is named after), played it all day with my guitar. Opened a pint of Guinness and shot this photo.

Farewell Ballad

I hope you like it - it's my tribute to Dime

PS: read the image description too (under the image)
Dimbucker high or low?????
by clownusmaximus on Sun Aug 07, 2011 2:18 pm
ok so iv been reading a couple of reviews etc of the dimebucker and a lot of people say that it has loads of treble? now i find it has a s#%t load of bass in my 79ml and have to drop a s#%t load of bass of the amp compared to my guitars with emg 81s where i have to boost the bass

has the guitar tech done something wrong?

is it because i have no tone control pot wired in?

is it people talking s#%t without owning one?
Nile
by nickevans on Tue Aug 09, 2011 3:18 pm
I know most people in here are in to some pretty heavy stuff since they like Pantera and Nile is about as heavy as it gets.

If you listen to certain riffs and leads from Nile and Pantera, although they are quite different from eachother, do you get the same feeling when you listen to the two?

Nile sometimes has some serious groove going on their riffs and their leads have serious bends that remind me of Dimebag. Some of the creativity from both bands seem to complement one another.

Dime's still the best to me, but Nile is like the only band that comes close now days that can give me that feeling. Any of you feel the same?

In Canada "Like New" Rust Razorback
by Armitage on Tue Aug 16, 2011 11:40 pm
I was passing through the small town of Meaford, and came across a dealer with a "like new" but used (I think it was owned by one of us), Limited Edition Rust Razorback. It looked absolutely like new except a few of the Floyd screws were discoloured.

Just a heads up, so call or email them with any questions.

$3000 asking price, I think it's been there a while... no brokerage fees etc for Canadians.
