A guy brought this into my work wanting to trade it in. I can't find another Iceman like it online. So he left and is going to run a couple of errands. If anyone could tell me the model that'd be great. Also idk if this helps out, but in the picture it looks like the logo on the headstock is painted on, but it's inlayed.

closest to that shape is a DMM1, the sig model from Daron Malakian of System of a Down OR an ibanez iceman icx.
maybe it is a lower price sig model or an icx with a different neck. is it bolt on?

It looks like an ICX-120 body with an ADX-120 neck on it. But, the ADX is a set-neck.
Haven't seen a bound body on the ADX nor a 3x3 headstock on the ICX.
Honestly, I don't know much about either model as I find them very undesirable.

Is there not a serial number on it? 2 Pickups and a set in neck almost looks like an IC200 but they didn't have the pickup selector switch and had a tail piece instead of string through as well as Dot inlays. I dunno, it's kind of confusing. Looks as if it has features of a few different generations of Iceman or Mirage. Can you take a pic from the rear too? |

^ That
A serial number would help a hell of a lot. |

I think it's this from the 2007 catalog, or maybe a later model:

IC200's did have a selector switch, were bolt-ons and a different body style. |

Well I found one like it after about an hour of searching that sold for $300, and we offered $150 for it. So he decided to keep it. Thanks for the help guys. |

I meant to say pup selector in the same place as on that one. My bad I should have articulated. Either way couldn't find something like that with a set in or neck through in earlier catalogs. I didn't think to check as late as 2007. I was just browsing .PDFs looking for it and gave up. One good thing came of it though. I have decided to start looking for an ICJ again.... That is my "White Whale" right now. |
