With the price they want for that thing, I don't know if I'd be brave enough to stand in the same room with someone playing it. |
Seriously, I didn't want to hold it because I was afraid of dropping it. I can say, though, that it looks amazing up close. |

I asked Pat Baker if I could just see it and he took it off the hanger and handed it to me. I figured, what the heck! |

I know, they were just passing it around during the tour. Someone tried to hand it to me and I declined. I saw a few others decline, too. |

I gave it a strum. But like you said, too many strings, too many frets. Not my bag. Plus its incredibly fugly too. |

That's just a big hunk of alien technology right there. Stealth pickups under the neck. A special switch to split the space/time continuum. I took pictures of it, but I feared it too much to get very close. |

Some say the same thing about another particular body style, nicknamed as "a Flying V with a boner".
I was impressed.
It's a different shape.
It's a different approach.
It's pushing outward on the boundaries of what everyone thinks can come out of the Custom Shop.
That room was too packed with people to be passing that guitar around. |

I didn't grab it when it went by on the tour as I held it a NAMM. I think it is an amazing instrument.
It's cool you got to play it a bit Steve! |
