I toured with Laneys for a while, their AOR series, they were great (as long as you soldered up their grounds). I had a GH100TI Iommi model for a while (too dry for me)... so I'd like to hear one of the new ones. |

I hope you can invert the grill panel so that the crosses are upside down. Tony got it all wrong.

I had a GH100 TI for 6 months or so and it was a very good amp, with the downside of being one channel. Its matched cabinet was awesome, only sold it because the MF280 I scored was...more awesome lol.
I'm llikely not out for this one as the only plan for now in addition to my axe2 is to get a 50w 5150III just for the sake of gas. |

I still think Tony's guitar tone was way better on Live Evil, than on both the Reunion, and Heaven and Hell. He was using Mark 2 Boogies back then. But according to Tony he thought the Boogies were too loud. Well when you use 12 Coliseum Boogie heads rated at 300wts each, what did he expect? He could have gone with the 60/100s and got the same tone.
I tried the Laney AORs, and I didn't like them as much as the Supergroups, or KLIPP models. |

You can, just look. The grill panel is held with 4 screws. Then the logo is held by 2. No problem, have at it.

^^^^^^ Looks like you would have to cut the plate in half just above the knobs to do it |

What I see is 2 separate plates. the cross plate is held by 4 screws while the controls plate is ?????????
Somebody should check the amp out in person. |

It would have to be 2 separate pieces. I dunno too many tube amps that have the chassis being one giant piece. It would make servicing the amp such a big pain. I know some SS amps are like that but the chassis rarely ever have to be pulled out of the shell. I would wager the chassis is held in by 6-8 screws from the bottom and maybe rear, and that face plate is on by the few you can see from the front. You would just unscrew them, flip the name plate which is just screwed in on the front and put it back on as long as the side holes match up... Would take less than 5 minutes to do. |
