Sometimes Guitar Center can be really good to me

Went to the Sarasota store yesterday to just lurk about and twiddle with a few geets to kill some time and ended up stumbling upon a used Randall V2 for 3 bills and some change. Took that sucker into the sound room and let her rip for a good half hour. My pants were soaked by the time I finished.

You bet your honey ass I threw that thing into layaway. Gettin' er out next week. For that price, what a deal! Twisted Evil

What were you doing in sarasota? You still live in MI? Yeah there can be some great deals on used stuff at GC, also some awful deals. I found a USA Jackson professional rhoads pro in one store for $1000. Professional means japanese made, and they go for around $600. I called and let them know and pretty much all that was said is they can't do anything about it. They paid a price for it so it has to sell for a price, so they weren't going to take a hit.

Another store had a mesa boogie Mark IIC+ for $1100. Shocked

I've seen them for around $2500 but never below $2k.

yup, I work 5 minutes from a gc, and I'm in there
to check the used rack every monday and friday.
you can find some deals if you keep your head on
a swivel... just found an ernie ball stingray bass
in black w/case for $699. no interest for a year...
player condition but frets are perfect and the thing
rips...

BTW: that sarasota store is nice, I was at the
grand opening, (parents live there) the line was
200 yards long so I just watched the ACDC cover
band...

I'm working down here until the middle of May. Not a bad little trip and I get to leave with a car and apparently a new amp Cool

The GC in North Indy has been VERY good to me over the years. I've left there with at least 30-40 guitars and probably 10-15 amps over the last 10 years, and I've passed on many good deals due to cash shortage.

I have made some money off their ignorance many times. The last one was an Ibanez RG7621 they had for $200! Sold that shiz for $600! Congrats on the amp!
