Picked up a line 6 m13 due to my new band's set list has a lot of different effects going on in songs. And being that I pretty much was able to survive on a couple analog pedals for the last 10 years.
I have avoided digital multi FX pedals like the plague over the years I could never find one that did what it said or it was just a complete tone sucker. The M13 is really a great device, has minimal tone sucking and has a lot of great sounding effect and a looper. I dont think the OD drives are that great but with some tweeking will work if I have to use one. The effect are very nice and most all with some adjustment have little volume issues off of unity to the amp.
I am not saying its the perfect unit but the build quality and sound is
worth the 499.00 due to it having about 100 effects of all very good quality. So on a bang for the buck I am happy.
My biggest complaint is that this unit does a whole lot and has many
capabilities that the instructions just glaze over. There is no real detail at all.
I am using the 4 cable method with the unit |

I've had mine for about a year now. It's really awesome for a lot of things, but it's also not-so-good at a few things.
The delays are great, and most of the modulation effects are really nice. The distortions are pretty bad, IMO; they sound ok, but there's not much dynamics to them.
The manual does kind of suck. It glosses over a lot of important information, and, in places, reads more like an advertisement than a manual |

My feeling is pretty much that so far. I am a just gimme a od and a delay guy.
So the fact that I like about 90% of what it does is impressive to me. Its a tool thing with me, I needed this tool to get the job done for the cover band thing. |
