Picture of Cadillac X and Question about 3-Pickup Version

Sold my Cadillac X, which has a damned small neck profile. Anyone else have/try one of these? TODAY got a real set-neck Caddy with the 3 pickups, see previous post for a picture. NIGHT AND DAY difference between these 2 guitars. Tone is as good as any LP I've played, and yes, I own two! Were these black/gold 3-pickup guitars a Limited Edition?[i

The model has now been discontinued, to the best of my knowledge. Nice 3 pup Caddy. Looks purdy Smile

YES...Outer Limits of Cool...Thought I had read Dean only made 150-250 of these. Need a Dean expert, if you're out there! Twisted Evil

The "Blue" one you sold is an Elite X, not a Caddy, from 1998.

I have a Red one. Also have an Elite AX, that has a carved top.

The 3-pup you just got is called a "1980 Cadillac" and it can in both 2 and 3 pickup versions. The 3 pup version was discontinued and the 2 pup version is now available in Braziliaburst.

Thank you very much for the background...always thought it looked like the Cadillac X model. The cool thang about the 3-pickup Cadillac I think is that all three positions sound very different, giving you plenty of flexibility...Dean is crazy to discontinue such a sweet guitar. Loving the axe to death. Exclamation
