That was right on, and just tight. The recording was great as well. I honestly felt that could be played on regular radio right now.

I have been going to my local Guitar Center a LOT lately & Damn just when I thought Music was Dead, or any kind of Rock that is, coisedently another 17yr old kid was Whaling away , just figured who Pantera was 3 months ago from one of the local guys who hang out in there , a friend of mine, and this 17yr old is a young Black kid who plays in a Church Band! I told him grow a messy Fro, Wrap a Sash around your head cuz you are the next Jimmy H. Shocked

Amazing, he was playing a Crap guitar so I had 2 of mine on me and NEVER let anyone touch my babies , not even the Chicks, but I trusted him & let him "Go to Town" ,so to speak & man he played everything & anything! He has been playing 3 years but Pantera 3 months & Damn , Ol' Boy had it Down, Solos , Sweeps etc. I sat their thinking does this make me wanna quit or try harder Laughing

Anyways my point , I think Music Hopefully will make it's way back and not even him but other little Kiddos I see , just can't believe the stuff they play! Good for them, maybe I will hear him or the other ones I witnessed Jamming like Van Halen on the Radio or a CD in the not too Distant Future, unbelievable! Cool

I've always wondered why people seem so appalled that a younger kid can hold his own in a band.

Granted, I'm 17 and don't frequently go to guitar stores (never experiencing that one douchebag teenager playing stairway too loudly) so I may not see it how others would.

Well I go to G.C. cuz I got the Hookup & have known the 2 main managers for about 15 yrs now, not for a local hangout, as I have a Job & Life with plenty going on ...As my post said I have been there a few times lately, & that's mainly cuz I have bought a bunch of new cords and other things for my MXR Flanger/Doubler coming this week along with trading a Guitar to them as well as two other things , so I needed a few accessories to go with them. I am amazed cuz the 2 kids I saw were Incredible and u probably would be Shocked if u saw what I saw! I have been playing guitar for almost 20 years and I am Not too bad my friend , so I don't see how someone would not be amazed if he saw a kid who has been playing just a few years & the other one for a shorter amount of time who sound like the next Van Halen or Yngwie Shocked

True but I just see it as dedication and practice time as opposed to being flabbergasted by their youth.

I am not amazed that he is this good at 17, what makes him great to me is that no matter what he is playing he is tasteful and does not jump out there and just try to over do it.....and to top it all off, he is a great guy, very humble about his talent and listens if an older guy like myself (been playing 36 years now) gives advise, even though he is every bit as good and better in some aspects.....His attitude makes him that much better in my eyes.

I also meant to say I am talking about the Kid I personally saw and not this guy on the video, I maybe should of clarified that up Confused

But yeah you are right! The kid told me he owns a Crap guitar & a $100 amp, so that is why he is there every day practicing on there gear (G.C.)...So Yes , Exactly what he does is just practice , practice, practice ...Some just take to it better than others, every one is different and that's the bottom line ...But this Kid was Special, he always has crowds around him! I mentioned he needed to sign up for the Blues Contest they Host every other Month or so , then you get a Whole lotta gear, Money , & a Contract with Studio time..He said he might in the near future, he was very quiet & Humble and seemed really Shy...I'm gonna be in my Car one day and hear this guy on the Radio, who knows, but I will say one thing; It takes a LOT to impress me!
