Maybe it's the transtubes I was thinking of. I think this amp is older. Still, 50.00 sounds like a good deal

I have a Peavey Bandit 112 Solo Series.. And I must say that it kicks balls! Good tone, and takes pedals really well. At full blast, I can hear it 2 and a half blocks away. Cool

The TransTube Peaveys are amazing. James from Amptweaker designed that circuit. Peavey initially balked at the idea until they heard it and then they loved it. I used to have a Bandit 112 and it kicked major ass.

I read that the solo series includes most of the technology used for the transtubes, but it doesnt say it. They came out first. Mine is from the early 90s, and it sounds great.

I had an early 90's Bandit as a teenager. I think the drive channel was for its day one of the better SS distortion channel. Though Peavey marketed it particularly as a rehearsal/practice amp in ads back then. If nothing else, it's a good blank canvas for stomp boxes. I used mine with processor preamps and such.

The TransTube that I have now, has awesome overdrive channels. It's great and with how much they go for used, everyone should have one.

I'm thinking I might open the wallet and spring a few more bucks for a Roland cube 20 xl. That xl series sounds pretty damn good

I have the newer bandit 65 watt 1X12, and it sounds surprisingly good. I wouldn't try to gig with it because it rattles like hell when turned up, but for a bedroom amp it's not bad.

Yeah I just need something small for the living room. I'm all set with my half stack in the jam room.
