Hello... Again Haha.

Ok, so I've been thinking for years about getting an Airbrish kit. Nothing Fancy, just something around the £100 ($150) mark... There's a whole bunch on eBay which look good for a beginner like me.

I'm not sure if any of you guys could browse on eBay uk at the airbrush kits, and tell me which is the better if the bunch.

I only ask, because to me, they all seem really good for a beginner. I was going to go with gravity fed, because my first project will be a DFH lighting paint job. (I can already use a spray gun, with facilities, to do the black on blue for the body, so the airbrushing will be done out in the back yard shed.)

The DFH will more than likely be a hardtail, I favour them over floyd's. I know there's someone here who did a hardtail DFH too, and it looked sweet.

Tips on how to set up the paint would be helpful, should I thin it out for the larger bolt behind the thinner inset one.

If all is a success, and I keep it up, taking on bigger tasks and all, I'm sure I'd need a better kit for that. But this will simply be for the lightning effect on the DFH.

Thank you all.

Why don't you see what you can buy, and get support for, at a local shop. It'd be a pain to buy something and find no one around can help you or get you parts.

In my town and surrounding areas there's nothing beside stores, main city things, fashion stores, supermarkets, music shops.

Luthiers, hobby stores are few and far between. Parts and paint would be bought online when I have to re-stock. That's the way it is now. My local guitar stores have all closed, moved further away into the Capitol.. Nearest guitar store is an hour away.

I'm not an airbrush artist by far, but I do recommend the following which will make your life easier:
-2 gallon compressor
-2 water traps (over kill I know but if you were to lose one you still have on)
-Masking tape
-Research
-Sticking to gravity feed airbrushes

After that, if you can get a Master's airbrush (a good one runs about $40 US) you'd be pretty well set for starting off.

You got one of those Games Workshop stores near you? The ones with the strange neckbeards who play with little plastic figures? They sell airbrushes, and there'll be somebody who can teach you to use it. They're always super-friendly too, I think they're just glad for the company. Laughing
