That is so sick. I want one of these. Appears tehy are blowing out all the baked maple guitars. heard they were going back to rosewood for 13.
LOVE SG's. I'd have to own a Heritage Cherry one though, if it were me.
Grats on the awesome new guitar! |
They have quite a few Heritage Cherries at Sam Ash for 799 with case...
The SG Standards all have Rosewood fretboards (for now)
I picked this one out, for the coil splitting and the finish.. it was a tough choice between SIlverburst and Cream... |

Not just the baked maples, a lot of the 2012 models. I've seen various models of LP Traditionals from anywhere between $1149 and $1599. Some great deals right now.
Happy NGD, good looking SG! |

They're clearing out all the current 2012 stock to make way for the new 2013's Rosewood's back on the vast majority of models, there's a couple of new robot-type guitars with a built-in tuner and whatnot. Most exciting development, I think, is that the Traditionals are now fully-solid. |

I'm watching the Les Paul Classics and Traditionals lately. They look awesome! |

They're brilliant guitars! A Trad is on my hit-list as soon as the new 2013 stock hits the local stores. As far as I know, they've started coming out in the US already; Sweetwater has some pics of the new models if you're interested. I spied the cheeky little NGD you hooked as well, very impressed. How are you liking it so far? |

So far, I dig it. It plays extremely well for a budget USA model. It needs some dire TLC. The frets need a polish, and it needs new strings.
Scary how much I like it, in the shape it's in.
It's almost minty, there are a few nicks in the finish, like pinhead size. I do wish it had a higher gloss finish on it, and binding. But thats why I'm looking at the Traditionals and Classics now. |

Gotta say, I am really digging the BurstBucker pups on this thing, the coil split makes them sound all P90ish.... |

Nice grab man, about time they started selling SG's for what they are actually worth pricewise. In good conscience, I could never pay $1000+ for ANY newer SG |

Yup I picked up the SG Standard with P90s a few weeks again. Just love it. I believe this is the best prices Gibson has ever advertised. They are finally selling their guitars at what the should have been for the last few years |

Lovin the Silverburst. Trying not to drink the Hatorade because I'm a little jealous. Again congrats on the sweet guitar. |
