It's odd how fast these things happen, sometimes. This thing is only 8 years old, even if it spent it's first few years rode hard and put away wet. Oh well-nobody can say it's not nitro. The hs reminds me of stained glass. I like it with the new gold hw but I'll like it better once my nasty pH puts a little love on that bridge and tp to match the rest of the thing.

It's not bad. That's all I can say. The saddles don't follow any particular radius (easily fixed with a file on the slots) and I had to grind 1/16" in off the bottom to get it to fit (the posts and lock screws, too), but it IS solid. If I had the option to buy it again, I wouldn't. The biggest thing that pisses me off is that the thumbscrew knurls are completely under the edge of the bridge, making them completely useless for adjustments. To mess with the height, you have to pull the lockscrews completely and use an allen from the top (at least they thought of that).
It did, however, add a bit of brightness over the Gotoh that was on there, so I can't bitch too much. |
