Wah pedal

What wah do you use? I need one that's fairly versatile. I like playing blues to classic/hard rock all the way up to metal. I was thinking 535q or the Crybaby from hell for the adjustments you can make.

It's a solid wah for sure. I use the old Slash wah. I used to own the Dime Wah, the Hendrix Wah and the Classic wah but none really did it for me. The Zakk wah didnt either. Haven't tried the Cantrell wah but maybe that one might be better, though I could careless I'm happy where I'm at.

I've got a regular old crybaby. Added a LED to show when it's on.

Tried the Slash, didn't care for it. I own a Dime, but it's jacked. Needs to be repaired. Very versatile.

I've had 2 Zakks and like the, but ended up selling them, guess I wasn't that attached. I really want to try a Cantrell next.

Had the 535Q and have the Dime wah now which is very similar. Both are very good sounding and versitile. Just picked up a Bad Horsie contour wah too and I've been using that alot lately just because it's switchless. We play alot of stuff where I use small accents of wah and I don't want to be dickin around with turning it off and on. Great sounding wah though.....only downside with the Morley's is they have a pretty big footprint so they wind up taking up alot of space on your pedalboard.

Without question, the most versitile wah I have come across (and own) is the Snarling Dogs Wine-O-Wah Plus. It has switches that affect the overall EQ. It has switches that add gain. It has switches that I'm not sure what they do. But it sounds great, and is over the top versitile. Make sure to get the PLUS model.

I ended up selling my original wah in the end as it was just not the right voicing for me, so i ended up getting the CFH one recently not so much because of dimes name but actually because there was a guy on youtube using one and it's so versatile and he's not even using a guitar he's using a sax !

i had the Wylde wah now i have the Dime. i like the adjustments on the Dime but i had mine set & someone i knew lookin at it started turnin my adjustments & screwed it all up so now i miss the ease of the plug & play of the Wylde. Only reason i dont have it now is because the power pot went out & tried something new

Thats a cool wah but it's been pointed out that the actual design is pretty flawed. If you use it on carpet it's going to slide along the floor, you can't mount it to a pedal board either. Ehx needs to come up with a cradle for it then it would be very good pedal as it's got a great tone.

They should just move the grip horizontal. Easy fix to a big problem.

It's only flawed if you use it that way. I never put a wah on a pedalboard and I haven't had issues with carpeted floors. If there is one I can just put it on a road case lid. You can say a traditional wah is flawed with moving parts that can seize or wear out... Or how a Crybaby only fits properly on certain pedalboards due to the feet and needing the adapter to make the bottom flat.
