I'm waiting for Positive Grid to release Jam Up Pro for Mac which they told me is coming out soon... Peavey however has AmpKit which I got from the app store for my Mac a few days ago and it's really good. It's much better than the other stuff out there I have tried (Amplitube and Podfarm). Here is a screenshot I just took... It's got some really good amp models and pedals and the cabs/mics don't blow like the L6 stuff.
It's got a metronome, recording with re-amping and of course a tuner. Anyway, I know we have discussed this stuff in the past so I wanted to share that this is really good for practicing and getting ideas down. |

Lanning, how are you plugging your guitar into your Mac? I'm trying to use it on my Macbook but can't seem to figure it out. |

I have iRig... It was $19.99 at the Apple Store. I think Best Buy has them too. It converts a guitar 1/4 plug to a signal for the headphone jack on the Mac and has a headphone out to run to headphones or speakers or whatever.
Make sure you adjust the I/O levels on the bottom of the screen to match your guitar's input so you're not clipping. |

Hmm...I have Ampkit Link which should work the same way. I'll have to see if I have my port settings correct on the macbook. |

I put it on my ipad. So far I like it but I am getting a lot of "feedback" if I have the gain turned up past like 3 if I don't use a gate. I have my input turned way down and it helped a little bit but not a lot. If I can fix that it will be cool. |

That's odd that you're having a problem. What interface are you using? Can you take a screenshot with the settings you're using so I can see what's happening? |

How do I take a screenshot on an iPad? I had the issue with the stock settings on the Valveking that it started with, then switched to a 3120 with the same issue.
I'm using an irig. |

OK I'm using iRig as well with none of those issues so I should be able to help you. To take a screenshot on your iPad click the power button and the home key button at the same time. Also if you PM me your email I can send you one of my patches and you can try it out to see if it's any better for you. |
