I have had that avatar for eons. Thinking with the new year that maybe a change is in order
The story behind it is that I actually had that poster on my bedroom wall in the 70s. She was my first love and I was a diehard Charlie's Angels fans. I even have the trading cards from then (I traded away all the non-Farrah ones)
Stupid topic but I have to wonder if on these type boards, that we are identified by our avatars and whether there is a story why we have it. To be cool? To offend? Real life meaning? Irony? Ego? Showin' off?
Legal pic, USA Spalted ML, should have kept her

No, keep her. That pic is an easy way to identify you.
The Dean yes, big mistake, they aren't making them like that anymore. Neck joint is all incorrect once again, since DB left the company. |

Actually there's a funny story here. That's not a Hill guitar. That a "me" guitar. The headstock has my real initials on it. I didn't exactly build that guitar, but I did put it together from the ground up. It was my first guitar to do so. And the serial number on it is basically the date and 0001. As in my first one.
I freely give lots of building/pickup advice, but I don't let it be overly known just the sheer amount of tools/repair tools/huge frickin wood cutting tools that I have. It's quite the workshop. I have put a few guitars together. I may have to make a large post showing what I have built. |

Keep it! I love that poster as a kid in the 70's, I had that t-shirt also! It makes it easy to identify you also, would be like Jim6 with no opus....I have had my avatar since about week one here myself.... |

That guitar is a beauty though.

Ha! I had the t-shirt, too. Keep Farrah. I've kept the same avatar since day 1 (or whatever day it was when I first put it up), thought about changing it on a few occasions, but I just can't do it. |

She Stays!
I too had her poster over my headboard as a youth.
I've still got the poster, rolled up in a cardboard tube, somewhere in my basement.
I also remember writing "The Fox" in pencil across the front of it...
alright, now I gotta go find it... |

No problem. I'm actually pretty flattered. I know the good stuff that Scotti Hill does with both Hill and Bootleg. So to be compared to that is pretty good.
I could never change my avatar. No one would know who I was since I don't post here that much. Speaking of which.......

I have given the question much consideration.
In the process, I found myself staring at Farrah's taut nipples and entering a semi-hypnotic state. It started at the edges of consciousness, with the borders becoming fuzzy. As things became grayer, I attained an entirely different and detached spiritual level. Her physical features began speaking to me. Her pointy parts said that, quite literally, they had both achieved a life of their own and accompanying level of physical being. Her flowing and curly tresses said that, as one of the original 'celebrity hair styles', their interlocking curliness reflected a certain model of the universe. I really didn't get that part too clearly, as I was still fixating on the chest region and didn't care much what the hair had to say.
Then it got really weird.
Lee Majors shows up. He threatens to kick my ass with both of the bionic legs and then bitchslap me silly with the bionic arm. The guys was six million dollars worth of pissed off. It sort of pissed me off, too, as ten bazillion guys had oogled and used their own bionic arms over his wife and he thinks he's going to take it out on me? What's up with that crap? I mentioned that some of my hard-earned tax dollars had gone to putting him back together after his ill-fated test flight and that he really needed to step off.
A tense situation, to be sure, but reasoning won out over physical violence.
To summarize, I say keep the avatar.
Or change it to Lee Majors. Either one. |

Remember when we were "allowed" to change our usernames on here
There was the backwards phase "17mitnamssab", the Norwigian metal name phase, etc...
At least the avitars kept us up to date with who we were talking to...,
some folks are easy to spot, yellow fonts, wut gear questions..., but some others, not so easy!!! |

I appreciate your comment though had you read what I posted, you would have seen what I was asking. Are members identified by their avatar... sadly, that went right over your head. I see several comments that answer the query
Farrah stays |
