So I saw GC finally got the new Dean MLX Floyd. Looks so kick ass. If I get enough money from my college grant back I'm going to go for one in either Gun Metal Grey or Silverburst. Not sure which color I want yet. I think I will go for the Silverburst for the old school metal look and its the nicest finish. I'll keep updates on this buy. |

I mean of what I get left over. xp I will have already bought the stuff I need for class in the beginning. Its kind of hard to explain. The money you get back left over is yours to do with for whatever. I buy my supplies ahead of time. I would've had it before but I wen't crazy at the college store buying clothes and such. |

Lol. We all have atleast a little beer in our life. I think I scored by the way! I will be selling both my Schecters to get the Dean bad kickass guitar. xp By the way, since it has DMT pickups already, which ones do you think is used, on the MLX Floyd or any other guitar with DMTs? Just wondering. I'm thinking from the standard Electric Series maybe the Flatheads. I could be wrong though. |

Hey man, Ive got an ML XF. I got it in early january last year.
Once set up, it plays really well. It almost plays as nicely as my ATF3000, and it was quite a bit cheaper. As for the pickups, theyre just generic DMT stock pickups. Pretty hot pups, they just lack in definition IMO.
Congrats in advance on the new Dean brother! |

As a college student too, 90% of my refund went to beer and jack. |

@DR. Nice. I only care about if the pick ups are atleast good sounding. I always liked the stock Dean pick ups. Would you mind making a video for me so I know how the guitar sounds? Which finish did you go for? I'm going for the silverburst finish. I'll be able to sell both Schecters for the Dean no problem. =] |

I bought Ouid with a portion of my student loan money.
Only a small portion, though. And, given that Ouid helped me focus and stay in school at certain critical points, it could be considered as contributing to my completion of coursework and obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from a major university. |

Im sure youll sell the Schecters like instantly. Everyone loves em.
I got the ML shortly after they came out in december 2011, so I have the classic black finish (the only finish at the time i think). And im sorry, I cant make a vid. I dont have a computer and I look at the forum on my phone. Otherwise I would.
Its my C# guitar right now, and it sounds and plays great for the price. After a good set up, youll love it. |

And Medicine Man, and No Good (Attack The Radical). Everything else is in whole step down standard. Keep in mind that Dime always tuned A little sharp of C#, just to stand out and sound a little different I suppose. Ive found that setting my tuner to 430, and then tuning to D to be accurate. Or just tune to the record.
Have fun with the new Dean, man! |

Kids are such candyasses these days.
Grant money is FREE money.
You want to take a gamble? Spend your student loan money on beer, bonghits and bimbos. That's money that you have to actually pay back. Sort of like Wimpy's philosophy. "For beers and some good sweet loving now, I shall gladly pay you later".
Spring Break is a similar investment to the aforementioned, but also figures in travel expenses. Done correctly, a week in Daytona with several thousand fellow drunk students can be done for a fairly reasonable amount and will provide priceless memories.
We took the family Disney vacation to Orlando several years ago, and everyone wanted to go to Daytona Beach for a daytrip. Fine by me. Somehow, we used the beach access street right next to the motel dump I'd stayed at years earlier. I had a bit of a smirk as I considered standing on the 3rd floor balcony at 2:00 am singing "Beautiful Girls" by Van Halen, with others at street level joining in.
And you wussified panty waists are buying.......... a guitar?
Pish Posh, I say. |
