I've got this body and loaded pickguard for sale, just got the off Craigslist yesterday. I didn't expect either of them to be so nice, the body is absolutely mint and the Fender loaded guard is from a 70s Classic model and still has the plastic on it. The neck is from a Starcaster of all things and is unbelievably nice. Very fat and wide with big frets. Home brew Yngwie anyone?

If you think it will play well, then go for it!
Although I'm surprised that you're not sick of strats by now. |

Those classic series strats are really well done. But the pickups in the 70's are rather weak. |

Weak being subjective of course. One of my favorite strats ever was a 70s reissue. Sweet pickups. |
