Always wanted to try EMG's but chose passives every time, maybe whenever I get another guitar I'll have a reason to try some out. |

I'm really digging the 81/60's in my Jim Root Strat. |

My last ESP/LTD I bought came with EMG's. Model 81's to be precise. I thought for sure I was going to hate them but I actually REALLY like them. |

Same. My new Deceiver came with an 81/85 set. Didn't think I was going to like them, but they're pretty nice. |

Going against the grain, I've never been a fan of EMG pickups, or Zack, except his studio results.

I'm not a fan of EMGs or Zack's recent music either (but Zack kicks butt as a guitar player though).

As stated, ZW's studio, recorded Ozzy work is killer for metal, but he comes across to me as a knucklehead in photos and interviews. It's just opinion. He is doing what I always wanted to do which was be a rock star, so I'm not really bashing the guy. He made it...I'm still trying!

inside as of now. have to run 1 pickup and 1 knob until I get the spare parts |
