Found this at a pawnshop on Friday. Came with the original hardshell case and all. I pulled a Dimebag on this one and I'll just say I got a darn good deal on it lol. I wasn't really looking to buy another one but I couldn't pass it up. Put a black floyd in her and a lot of elbow grease. Cleaned up very nice.

I'm glad you could find a good deal at a pawnshop. It has been known to happen every now and then. That's a great looking guitar. Good for you. |

Mine usually don't have anything. Especially the town I work in where I found it. The town is about 3000 people an hour north of Houston and its very COUNTRY. A buddy at the gym said they have some Dimebag Darrell guitar at the pawn shop. Thats the only reason I walked in there because they normally just have some beat up squier's and worse. The pawn shop owner was a cool cat, he had 3 sixties tele's in the back room and we ended up shooting the breeze and jamming on some old zz top for about an hour before I left. |

When you say "You pulled a Dimebag" Did you tell the shop owner it was piece of s#%t, and he'd never sell it?" That's what Dime used to tell them.
The problem is, when I traded 2 of my 79 series for cash down on my red Gibson Explorer, both those 79s were gone within a week. |

I always see peavey, squier, stagg and NY Pro strats. I seen one cort bass that was kinda cool but I never see any USA starts gibbys or anything worth while. They do have bumpin car systems and gold chains up the wahzoo.... I guess its all in where you live. Might go into Boston and find a better place, Brockton and its surrounding areas dont have much to offer. |

In the town where this one came from, I was shocked to see it. Most people come here to retire, so the median age is much older than most places. Also, a majority of the younger people here listen to country music. I was susprised anyone here knew who Dime was. I could not believe it was sitting in a store here.
Oh yes, and the guitar to the left was the one that was stolen from me 4 years ago. I got it back about 2 months ago when a forum member posted he had bought it in a pawn shop. We worked a deal out so I could have it back and he didn't get raked over the coals either. You can see the battle scar on the back of the upper tip there. Damn theives. Now I gotta do some body work on it and get it back into tip top shape. I'm just glad to have it back home. |
