Where did he study his arts of awesomeness?
Or is he a self taught bedroom freak?
Also.. Who was his guitar god as a young lad?

He's amazing..

he is a self taught bedroom freak. Auditioned for megadeth at age 16. I woudl guess that Yngwie Malmsteen is his hero.

I am sorry, but when I read this, I thought about your old BLOODROOT band photos, with black work shirts and black pants. Ironic. And I know you dont think you are a guitar god. But that is the image that popped into my head. Razz Cool

My uncle. he saw the same pix you are talking about and said, "how come your band looks like the janitors union."
<<<<<<< I have that janitor shirt on in my signature. ahahah
my singer when he wears his. he even has the key chain thingy that he wears with the retracter on it. just like Snyder on one day at a time.

thats so awesome. like a backwards epiphany.

I was in a band where they told me to wear black pants and a black top like that too... I went a long with it but I thought to myself "I wonder if they're gonna make me join a union?"...

wouldnt argue that fact. just a different time, different erra, different style. but thanks to mike, he paved the way for guys like Jeff. kids today dont understand that fact. they just want to say their guys are better than your guys and not pay respect where its due. Guys like Mike got good from pure talent. Guys today have all the tools at the click of a mouse.

Well, I think if you are truly a guitar fanatic the generation of the player does not matter. If you are hung up on the year you are stuck there. I like almost all guitar from blues to death (good name for a band "Blues to death ") Not to excited about the cookie monster vocals. I have listened to Al Dimeola and Alexi Laiho I can usually spot talent from the first note. I first saw Chris Broderick when he was with Nevermore on the first gigantour. I had no idea at time who either Loomis or Broderick were.
Dream Theatre played honestly great talent very progressive but I liked the hard edge stuff better.

I'm not sure who you are trying to argue with. I agreed with you.

Not arguing but like you were saying about who ever thinks who is best and the youngsters I guess. Basically I agree as well.
