Been gassing for a quilt top for a while, and this came up not far away.
Is an Ltd MH-401QM, 81 and 85 EMG's, floyd rose special.
Grabbed a bargain, needs a setup and maybe replace pickup rings but still plays nice and the EMG's really rock, first wandering into active pickup territory!

Just goes to show that purty guitars don't have to cost an arm and a leg! |

i have the 1000 version of this guitar. I like the 401 better and should have bought it cause it doesnt have the gawdy mop binding. good snag. the 1000 is one of my best playing guitars. ill take the emgs out one of these days. The 401s have the the floyd special which I have on my 27fret esp and I actually like it better than the original floyd on my 1000. Rock it out man. great guitar. |

Cheers fellas,
Sounds awesome through my rig, needed setting up though neck was bowed quite badly!
Sorted that though and plays really nicely now. Don't think it had ever been setup properly as only had 9's on it and still bowed, intonation to sort still and need a case for it but love it |

Well, I gave it proper sort out last night! changed strings, cleaned fret board, adjusted truss rod, intonation and adjusted floyd height.
Didn't take that long, less than 2 hours all in and now plays like a dream! Really difficult to put it down, and the annoying choke like thing around 12th fet on E, A and D strings now totally gone
Looking like more of a bargain than I thought! |
