Bizarre..., I brought the Jerry Cantrell Wah back to the guitar store and swapped it for a Vexter series Wah Probe. I couldn't live without a boost function built into the JC wah, also, I'd never used a Cry Baby type wah before, and didn't care much for that toe down footswitch design + no led..., which in my mind, causes me to constantly glance at it wondering if it actually switched on or off while I'm playing. May sound nutty to Dunlop Wah users, but that's just my $0.02.

So in comes the ZVEX Very Happy This pedal is soooooo me! Slightly odd in design, very expressive, and kicks a$s!!

As for the ghost Surprised I plug the Wah Probe in with patchcords only and it lights up..., so I think, ahhh, there's a battery already in there. I then play it to much disappointment, as it worked, leds light up, but sounded real weak Mad I unplug it, and notice that there is no battery compartment Question
As soon as I gave it power, it started kicking a$s..., how the hell was it working without power Question

I know the boost function built into the Wah Probe is a "ZVEX Super Hard On" circuit .., hmmmmmmmmm Confused

Gratuitous low light pronz from my studio:

My Chain:

Soltero with BKP War Pig (B) & Mullinax P-90 (N) --> Wah Probe --> Whammy DT in buffered bypass mode --> Small Stone --> Pog2 --> Malekko Trem --> Blackout Effectors Dual Fuzz --> Champion Pedals kill switch with arcade button --> Mesa Mark V --> Memory Boy in loop

Are you sure there's no battery compartment? I bet if you unscrew the back of the pedal there's a battery connected in there.

Some pedals are wired to accept power through the signal wires via a trs cable. Not sure if that's the case here.

http://zvex.com/wahprobe.html

says it takes a battery at the bottom, chances are that they might have had one in that's drained out ?

Wow..., I never read the booklets that come with my pedals.

They are usually pretty easy to figure out, I guess there is a battery in there somewhere. Definitely not easy access!!!

This wah kicks butt though!!!

Very Happy
