They are nice cables. I don't think they sound one bit better, but the wire is thicker and "lays" nice when rolled up if taken care of. I bought mine in 1998. The original version had slightly larger connectors which stretched the jacks in much of my gear causing issues. They've since fixed this. Anytime I want new cables i simply go to guitar center and tell them to replace them, even if I cut the end off in front of them. (which I haven't)

The write up on their site makes them sound/look impressive .. I have a set of dre beats and that has a monster cable on those and thought the sound is awesome, same could apply to my guitar setup .. Only thing is the lenghts of the cables dont have much of a shorter range , ie 4" 12" ect ... Unless u cut them but would that effect the wiring in anyway, shape or form ??

They sell many sizes. Don't cut them yourself. if you do all that just make your own wires.

not trying to argue . but the wire is not thicker. I used to think that too till I took some apart to resolder. They run a cord of plastic through the middle and then wrap it with the copper to make it look thicker. They are good cables but some of the cheapos from guitar center for $15 are twice as good. Monster is cool for the lifetime guarantee though.

The cheapo Live Wire cables from GC are also lifetime warranty. I've taken them back after a year or 2 when they start to crap out and they always give me a new one.

I've never understood fancy cables. Yer wiring is only as good as the weakest link, and I don't know anyone with gold plated connections inside their guitar and amp..

I was talking about the outer diameter. I agree.
