It seems to be implied as such, particularly on Kerry King's behalf. |

It's not the first time they've done him wrong. He doesn't need them. They're done anyway. He should go play with Testament again or something. Go where there is still some worthwhile creativity. |

I don't foresee him having problems finding work. |

Why is it always the drummer???
First Bill Ward and now Dave...
Yeah, something definitely is not right here. How could you not want to "fix" a situation where you would make more $ |

This s#%t has been going back since the club days. When I went to see Slayer, Bitch, Pandemonium, and Savage Grace at the Roxy in 84. I told Kerry how good I thought Dave was. He said "if I wanted him they would let me have him in my next band." |

Neither do I, Kerry after all is not a "stellar guitarist." |

Sounds like Kerry is the one doing the pocketing
"Kerry made it clear he wasn't interested in making changes and said if I wanted to argue the point, he would find another drummer"
That quote says it all IMO
How the heck do you live on a small advance for a years worth of work? |

Given what's been posted by one side of the story (and there are always more than one side to a story.....), there's probably a management entity or holding firm or something buried in the agreement that's taking a cut for doing not much.
And it's probably registered somewhere as "Kerry King, d.b.a. (insert holding company name)".
If they're losing money and he's not concerned about it, then he's not the one losing money. |

It makes you wonder if there is more going on with Hanneman's absence than the spider bite. I remember back in high school before South of Heaven came out reading a few interviews where Dave talked about how they were always jacking with him, telling him things like "When I wrote 'On my wall your head...' I was talking about YOU, Dave!" I would like to see he and Hanneman both venture-off and do something different, the last 20 or so years hasn't seen much other than the same old stuff with different titles and cover art. |

I wonder who "Slayer" is in that statement. I am sure it's short for Kerry King and no one else. What a dochenozzle |

When I saw the Masters of Metal show in NYC in September, Dave's band Philm opened the gig with a half-hour set. They were great live, and the music is way more interesting than anything Slayer's put out in a long time, and this is coming from a long-time Slayer fan. Their music might not be for everyone, but I like it a lot.
