I've found a ZV Gibson in England and I'm wondering how much they'd go for or how much someone on here would be willing to pay for one? It's in mint condition
Thanks for any help in advance |

Awesome stuff man!! Please upload some photos if you decide to jump on it!! There arent many of them out there, and they look awesome in person. I wasn't initially fond of them when I first seen them, but then I seen an all black Epiphone model in a guitar shop and the shape looks great in person!! |

I paid $3,100 (CDN) brand new for mine from my local store which translates to £1,988.00 according to the current market.
But some moron drew all over it with gold Sharpie so it's worthless now

It looks sweet! Do you think I could get about $2500 for it if I were to sell it on? |

Glad I could help. The market on these kinda fluctuates. It's not a guitar that will likely go up in value any time soon. Years from now however it may be worth something but at the moment it's not going to go up. It's not like a Les Paul. It's more of a niche item that only fans of Zakk will want. This is a good time to buy one so if it should go up it will have been a good investment. I play mine and have toured with it so it's not mint anymore. It's signed now and hanging on my wall. I didn't get it to sell though. It's going to be a family heirloom. It's a phenomenal guitar though. Build quality is amazing and it plays like butter. It's totally worth the price even if you're just looking for a killer new guitar and don't care about Zakk. |

Ive never tried one so I won't know for sure whether ill stick with it, I'd rather have a les Paul to be honest as most guitarists are going towards them now :/ if I like it I will most probably keep it but if not I'd want about £1400-£1500 for it if not more but I doubt I'd get that :L are you buddies with Zakk then? :O |

I took lessons from him in the late 80s and have met him a few times. Most recently when BLS came to town. He signed my guitar and I got his vest after the show. I'm a big fan but everyone around this forum knows that I'm a Zakk Fanboi. I had the JCM800 ZW head too but I recently sold it.
As far is how it plays. The neck is the same as his Les Paul so it will feel the same in the left hand. The body feels like an SG when sitting down and a flying V when standing up. It's not neck heavy like an SG though. The body is much thicker than an SG. |

You lucky bastard!! I bet that feels good to say :L I'm a big fan of his because of his ozzy days, i saw him at download too and BLS were awesome!!
I'll like the ZV but I'd probably prefer a les Paul so Im not completely about getting it :/ |

If you're not sure then don't jump on it if you think you may be unhappy with it. It will fell amazing to play but you still have to look at it every day. I like mine more than the Les Paul just because everyone knows his Les Paul. People still ask me what it is when they see it. Less people know about this guitar than you may think. Us, Zakk fans just assume everyone knows what it is When I had it out on the road last year only a few people even knew it was a Zakk guitar. |

I wouldn't get his les Paul, I'd buy one and paint it something different I might jump on it but I'd rather have a les Paul shape over it as to me they're more comfortable :L |

Oh OK I didn't realize you had already played the ZV. There are plenty of cool LPs out there for you so it shouldn't be too hard to find one to your liking. |

I wish Zakk would have done a different headstock for that body shape. The LP headstock doesn't work for me on that guitar. I like his Dean better. |

That's the only thing that puts me off :/ it would look weird with any Gibson headstock to be honest :L I can't see any other headstock that would look as good as the dean one on it |
