Here's the situation:
After playing countless guitars..., what would you do if the greatest sounding / playing axe on the planet was just too hideous to look at
Pointy everywhere with piss yellow lightning bolts all over..., YUK!!!
I decided fcuk it..., I'll make this guitar my own
The next steps:
- BKP Warpig going in bridge
- Mullinax Oh Salvation P-90 going in neck
- White paint
- Black Washburn logo for headstock
- Black binding all over
- vol/vol/tone + input jack on the front of axe
I'm at the point where I could bring the lower bout to the shape and size of a real Caddy.
I think the huge bout actually looks kewl with the larger upper HS horn

One coat of trans green clear would have helped tame those yellow bolts. Oh man I can't believe you cut that guitar. But I totally understand why you did. You want it exactly the way you want it. Looks like the hard part is behind you. Keep the pics coming! |

If you remember this axe.., it'll be all black hardware with the German Schaller Floyd Rose.
I love white Caddy's with black binding.., but seafoam green has been calling to me lately.
Also, the ol tone pot hole will be filled. I'm laying the vol/vol/tone pots out like a real Caddy.., 1 master tone though, the original input jack will take the place of the other tone pot.
Also.., thanks for the encouragement. It. Wasn't easy cutting up my fav axe. It's a testament to all those who experimented with thier gear. I don't wanna sheep on ya.., but i'm sure Dime got flak for Floyd'ing his ML with a chisel. |

Not to speak for Tim, but this was the guitar before chopping. It was a ltd run from Funky Munky that were awesome. They had the Dime 3 neckjoint and everything. |

It is an awesome run.., some of the finest built 'Dime' guitars ever
Just too many points for my taste now, and not my kinda pick ups.
I know when this project is done.., it'll look, feel, and sound like my dream Caddy, but when I close my eyes and play.., it'll still be my fav Dime axe in my hands |
