My halfstack from Splawn just shipped! They sent me a photo of the head as a teaser. It's a Nitro and the cabinet has matching tolex and gold piping and a salt and pepper grille.

I will do that at some point. The amp should be here in about a week. Hopefully I'll get to use the amp on the album too lol I know I'm going to use it live for sure. |

I won't have it for another week. If you check out Ola's demo you can get a good idea.

Not to offend anyone but that DAR sounds horrible to me. Way too compressed and gainy. It sounds like a Digitech Death Metal pedal in that video. |

Martin's sounded a little better, the more i listened the more it reminded me of the Krankenstein heads I had. Not saying Martins sounds like that but this one sure as hell does... |

For that really compressed "Chug-a-lugga", deathy kinda stuff it's probably really great. I don't like that sound though and kinda over that phase of music so I just can't bring myself to enjoy that kinda tone. The amp looks killer though and I'm sure the build quality is excellent. The Splawn can do the heavy stuff extremely well but sounds amazing with just about any kinda music. Even pop bands use them in some cases. |
