Looking forward to seeing Tampa tomorrow night and Jacksonville on Friday. Have to get up to Jacksonville early on Friday and get a lil guitar trolling going on. Never know what ya might find in some corner. Anyone looking for something in paticular?
These will be my 3rd and 4th shows of the tour. Who other than Ozz went to a show this tour of these bands? |

I saw this show in Hershey PA. Not a huge Kiss fan, but enjoyed them. Paul Stanley should have quit while he was ahead. He tried some " WHOA OA AO AO AO OOOOOO" thing and it sounded like an old man having an orgasm. Not impressed by him at all. Aerosmith did a good mix of old and new stuff, but what was awesome was they did a whole set from there upcoming (jan. I think) release of all old blues remakes. That was great. I think most people didn't like it too much, cause they didn't recognize it. Being a blues fan, I loved it. Worth every penny I paid. |

KISS <---- With or Without the facepaint? |
They play mostly the old shizzle. Thank Christ. If they lurched into 'I don't wanna Miss a Thing' I think I'd start a riot. |

Last night in Jax had a couple REALLY exciting moments. First off, I had 4th row Gene's side on the floor. Got all my gear into the show no problem, a 38-105 zoom 35 mm camera along with another handy lil sony thang.
I get to my seat after having missed The Porch Ghouls, I was trying to sell my "extra 4th row seat" No one bought!!! Only I cut it real close cause KISS is coming on in 3 minutes and I'm trying to get to my seat! Get to my seat to find a truly beautiful blonde who asks me,"Are You BTMN? I'm Chip Away." She was from the Aerosmith messageboard Oh man! I'm a wanted man!! Married! Very sweet and most pleasant to jam around with at an Aerosmith show! Obviously Exciting moment number 1 of the night .
KISS are old farts but man they were on in JAX!!! Exciting moment #2 of the night was about 3 songs into KISS' set as the three front guys step up to kick in "Shout It Out Loud" center stage about 15 ft to my right, Gene stops, poses, looks right at me, and spying my Batman logo Sweatshirt, say's Hi Batman! Then hits the first notes of the song!!!
Tha's WHAT I"M TALKIN' ABOUT,PEOPLE!!(as Paul is so fond of saying.
Aerosmith was into it too. Exciting moment number 3 was Joe Perry playing Paul Stanley's Fractured Mirror Silvertone I should have photos early part of the week Monday or so. I'm going to another show outdoors in Clearwater tomorrow with Fuel as the headliner.
It is called The Next Big Thing 3 put on buy radio station 97X www.97xonline.com The lineup is:
Switchfoot, Yellowcard, Something Corporate, Less Than Jake, Smile Empty Soul, Airwalk BMX Stunt Team(not a band) The Ataris,Hoobastank,Dashboard Confessional.AFI, Fuel. Should be a great day Hope it gets a bit warmer. I found this shot from last night on the fan club site.!!!
