If your going for the classic rock sound, they're one of the best out there. I've heard bi-valves that can do a Marshall jtm-45 better than the new marshall reissues. with the right tubes, you can get it to about a jcm800, but thats about it as far as drive goes. For anything in the heavy metal range, its just not the right amp. (which works out about right for me. I tried a Peavey XXX and couldn't turn the gain past 2 without it being too much for my sound.) THD's aren't cheap though. Lowest price I've seen on a new bi-valve is around $1100.
