I would LOVE to see a USA made Dean EVO. I missed out on buying a Dean Millenium EVO. Sure would like to see that guitar go into production.

Anybody else interested? If so maybe we can nag, beg or cajole Elliot and Dean into going for it Smile

The Czech Evo Premiums are so nice it's almost a moot point Jeff. However I'd sure like to check out a USA made Evo. I thought the Milleniums had a wierd neck joint - body joined too far up the fretboard? Trapper knows.

They make one. It's called a Chafin Custom Ember. www.chafincustom.com

I've mentioned this before as well. Either a USA Evo or USA "Singlecut" Hardtail. Either way, I want one! Very Happy

Haha! The Ember is sweet. It's like an EVO with an even bigger Tele vibe... Very Happy

Yep, the Ember is a nice looking axe.

I'd really like one with more of the 'les paul' shape though. The thing I would change would be to put fret position markers on the neck, not just the EVO logo at the 12th. I get lost without the markers!

I haven't tried one of the czech made EVO's yet -- no local dealer carries them Sad

You really don't want to know just how nice the eVo Millenniums are; Dean really should have made more. It would be nice if mine were a few pounds lighter. One is 10 1/2 lbs and the other is just over 11 lbs, but the tone and sustain are amazing.

I've tried a few Czech Dean's (owned a Deluxe, tried Premiums), although they are very nice (great value), they aren't in the same league with the Hardtail. Which is my only US Dean point of reference. I'd love to have a comparable US Evo.

The neck on the one Millenium is set in one fret further than the other. On my Korean eVo the neck joins at the 21st fret while on my Czech eVo and mahogany neck Millennium the neck joins at the 20th fret. The maple neck Millenium is joined at the 19th fret. I've played the Pearly Gates equipped Millenium back to back with a few eVo Premiums and I prefer the Millennium because it has more sustain, better tone and I like the thicker neck. I prefer the Millenniums over the HardTails for the same reasons although not to the same extent.

i think the lp (evo) shape is really cliched. we should leave that to the guys who came up with the shape and keep the caddy exclusive to us.

A single cut hardtail would be sweet Smile I do love my Hardtail. The more I play it, the more I appreciate its design and execution. What a guitar...

I hope if DEAN does a single cut HardTail, they make it like a Collectors Edition with the V neck and wrap-around binding. I like my DEANS to feel like DEANS, not a PRS.

The Evo Premium/Deluxe compeats with Top shelf Gibsons and PRS models so you should be fine with the Evo Premium! They are amazing.

You could also look at Hamers. I have two USA Hamers and they are hard to be especially for the price you can find them used! It's ridiculous how the quality of USA Hamers happens to be.

That being said......my next guitar will be a solid black USA Hard Tail. Smile Very Happy Maybe the econo model.

Jeff, I know you are a loyal Dean guy as am I....but check these out

i think it'd be great to have a USA made Evo even if i would never be able to afford one.. I think it'd be a good move for Dean though..

Really push those Les Pauls outta the way, cuz i mean even the Evos that are out now are better then Les Pauls...

I agree on the Les Paul thing. I'll put my Evo Deluxe up against most Les Pauls.....especially when you consider the price. I think the average guy can't afford an $1800 guitar so I don't know if I'd be getting a HT, but maybe one of the future Econo Hard Tails. Does anyone know what it will be like? The only other guitars I consider these days are the USA Hamers.

I used to be a big fan of Les Pauls. Lately I'm getting the impression that they're just fpr wankers (go read the Les Paul Forum and see what I mean, those guys are a bunch of 60 yr old men acting like 8 yr old boys. Rolling Eyes )
