Hello,
Yes, I did receive the CD and I loved it, I made a
copy for my grandson, I hope you don't mind. He would
never make one for anyone else. I am so sorry, I
cannot believe I didn't write to you and thank you for
sharing it with me. So let me say thank you and I
appreciate it so much. My copy is here in the computer
room along with all of Chuck's.
I am sorry you are going back to Korea, I have been
worried about that situation for months. I hope all
simmers down and that we don't get in any more wars. I
feel so much sorrow for all the families in the world
every time I hear that yet another of our young men is
hurt, or worse. My thoughts for your safety will be
with you and I hope you let me know how you are, if
you have access to email.
As for ex-wives and ex-husbands, they all go away
eventually and find other things to do. I know this.
To me life stands still, I don't know if this pain
will ever go away, I seem to miss Chuck more instead
of less, and the sorrow that he is not here is fresh
everyday. And the memories of his struggle.
Take care, don't forget to let me know how you are.
Best regards,
Jane Schuldiner
My request is for fellow metalheads to send Jane an email sometime to just tell her how appreciated she is by the metal community, as I have already done! The holidays are hard for her, especially these past couple of years since Chuck's passing. Thanks guys! |

I knew Chuck in the metal scene here in Tampa for years. I remember the guys in Death when they where just starting out...mainly Terry Butler and Bill Andrews.
Bill Andrews started out in the metal scene as Greg Gall's drum tech in our band Cyanide. Terry Butler used to hang out because Greg was engaged to his sister...(eventually he married her).
They quit doing rodie work for us because they started to get their own thing going with Chuck in "Death".
It's sad that things happen to people at such a young age...When the Tampa death metal scene started to grow we never imagined that it would have spawned to such a degree...it was really kind of an local thing at the time...or so it seemed.
The spirit of that scene is still carried on by many that where here in Tampa in the beginnings. Greg Gall and Terry Butler in "Six Feet Under" and a few others.
After all these years I still can't get the influence of that scene outta my blood...my latest CD I have been working on seems heavier than ever.
PEACE OUT! |

It's cool to have you here with all that history of the DM scene behind you man. Me, I've tried my hardest to get into the scene, but currently have no band and a job that won't allow for a good shot at getting one either. That music is all in me, as you guys should already know seeing my musical reportoire *LOL*.
As to everyone else who sent her an email, my thanks, and I'm certain she'll email you back thanking you as well. |
