I purchased a Dean Avalanche MQ in "Power Purple". It turns out to be a very well made guitar with very decent pickups. But I wanted a little different sound. I installed Seymour Duncan Vintage Rails in the neck and middle positions and a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates Model in the bridge. The results are everything I could have hoped for in a guitar I plan to use for blues and Texas style rock.
I have already purchased a Dean Avalance One in "Classic Black". I'm looking for more of a Joe Satriani sound and plan to install DiMarzio Fast Track 1 pickups in the neck and middle positions and a DiMarzio FRED pickup in the bridge.
But first.......I'm waiting for my Dean Cadillac Select to come back from the shop. I'm putting a DiMarzio Super Distortion in the bridge and a DiMarzio PAF-Pro in the neck. I'll report back when I find out how it turns out.
I can't wait for the Nashvegas guitars to come out. Then my collection will be complete.....................for now?

good choices for pickups. I though about the pearly gates for my avalanche, but I think I'm going ot go with a '59 in the bridge, and duckbuckers in the middle and neck.

The Duckbuckers should be similar to my Vintage Rails except for the six individually adjustable pole pieces instead of split rails. I think I read that the voicing of the Duckbuckers is based on the Vintage Rails.
That '59 humbucker is a sweet pickup. Can't go wrong with that.
