hey, i just received this guitar today and i'm a beginner. i've had troubles with strings in the past (i've popped on 3 in about a month on someone else's guitar). i tend to strum kinda hard when i get into it. i've heard that the guitar has a lot to do with what strings are best, so i was wondering if anyone else out there has a performer e and can tell me what they use. thanks a bunch.

and happy Jesus day Very Happy

I've got a DSE as well and use John Pearce mediums. I'm known for popping bass strings when I have bass gigs, so I abuse my strings and I have yet to pop a Pearce.
