Hey guys...just wanted to let anyone who cares know that I got into the grad program that I wanted to do! I'll be in Ft. Lauderdale living with my parents next year until December and then I'll be in Spain for 4 months and Brazil for 2 more. I can't wait to get started! OK now that that's said and done, everyone have a great holiday!

Thanks Robert & Mike...guitar project's going nowhere until I get back to Gaineville...I have no cash and haven't even been able to find the right type of paint, so I'm putting it on hold until this coming semester when I'll have the time and money to give it the proper attention. Thanks! |

Alan, that's fantastic. Getting accepted to a school you want to go to lifts a huge weight off your shoulders. You know where your future is going and can look forward to it and move on. Congrats! |

Whoa,
Having to move back in with parents and then be exiled to foreign countries, sounds really harsh.......or maybe not.
Congratulations and best wishes,

Thanks Joe and Bill...if I'm gonna be exiled somewhere, I'd rather it be Spain or Brazil than about 3/4 of the other countries in the world! |

Congratulations Alan! Best of luck to you.... My sister-in-law just did her stint in Madrid (grad School) as well. Just graduated last year.

Thanks again, guys! I was expecting to get in because I had the minimum requirements (3.0 and a 450 GMAT isn't exactly incredible nowadays) and because a white boy who speaks fluent Spanish and decent Portuguese is an extreme rarity...believe it or not, after talking to the coordinator for awhile, I'm actually OVERqualified...first time THAT'S ever happened! But I wasn't sure just because it seemed like the person I've been talking to has been avoiding the issue of an actual acceptance letter. Loke Joe (Ragnut) said, it's more relief than anything. But I'm proud of myself and I appreciate the kind words from all my friends here on the Dean boards!
Also, I finally got a domain name and hosting, so I'll post my new site when it goes up. Part will be professional translation services, but I'll have another subdomain set up for personal stuff I.E. links to Dean page, guitar pix, etc. Updates to come.
Thanks again!
Alan |

Thanks, guys! Pete, does that mean that everything else I've posted in the last year or 2 is useless? Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday season! |
