Hey, Everybody. I didn't have a newsletter planned but there are a couple of things that need to be discussed before the first of the year, so here we go!!
WHO'S COMING TO DOA III ???
Before the old forum was hacked, there was a thread posted about who was coming to DOA III. We need to get a head count as soon as possible. There is only so much room and so please respond and let us know if you are planning to come. It is sure the be the social event of the year, so make plans now to attend. Send Jim a note at doa_jim@hotmail.com and have him put you on the list. With that said, please read the next topic.
SHOW US YOUR CHOPS !!!
On Friday night at FOA III, Pat Baker (Dean guitar tech) will be on hand with his band, Anita Brunette. If you would like to sit in with the band and show off your licks, then you should let us know now. Send me, Brave Dave, an email at bravedave@deanguitars.com. and let me know if you want to reserve a spot. Be aware that Pat's band play primarily classic rock.
MICHAEL ANGELO BATIO ROCKS DOA III !!!
Yes, it's official! "Mr. Blinding Speed on the Fretboard", Michael Angelo Batio will be on hand Friday night for the DOA III party. He will be playing several selections that are sure to thrill and amaze you. Go to the Dean Guitars main page and there's a link to watch his video, "Speed Lives". If you have seen this, then you know what I am talking about. Speaking from personal experience, this is something you will be talking about for years to come.
DOA III is only a couple of months away and I am really looking forward to seeing some old friends and making some new ones. We had 19 members attend DOA II and I am betting we will have many more to DOA III. Hope to see you there!

It sounds like a very nice party! I would love to see Michael Angelo live. I'm sad that I can't participate.
Well, I try to make it next year.
Maybe you can video DOA III and make a compilation of the best parts. Then all of us DOA'ers could enjoy it.
