Nice box... very high end. Not a massive amount of gain, think Tube Screamer... Can be used as a solo boost at the same time as a overdrive unit. Expensive but very nice.

I LOVE the tone of these, but the problem is that they come with their own power cords -- you can't daisy chain them. I think that's why they're fairly cheep on ebay, at least when I had researched them. Here are some sound bites:

I haven't tried that particular box, but I love their compressor, and the quality on the build and sound is great. They do have the funky power cord though...

I've tried a couple of the Carl Martin boxes, and I like them. Most of their gear is pretty expensive though. But worth it.

Yeah, those high end boxes are usually worth it. They're less abused. The less expensive boxes can let out just as much growl sometimes, but usually you want to forget about their output as you become more experienced with other boxes. Although it's sometimes fun to experiment with lots of different boxes, it can get expensive. It's always nice to find one good box that you can reliably use and abuse with time. Shocked

Try to avoid boxes named Carl too Shocked
