I am seriously upset by this. He's on a venthilator and has a broken vertebre in his neck plus 8 broken ribs. I hope he's ok. Ozzy was my fave for a long time. I name my boy after Randy Rhoads. I am the first person to say I have no sympathy for the morons who kill themselves and screw themselves up with drugs and Ozzy is no different but I have a special affinity for him and I dread the day he dies. I didn't think it would bother me to hear anything like this about him but I am truly sad.

Hope he's going to be ok.

I like the guy as well, particularly AFTER the MTV show.

He's like the wet puppy dog you find on the front porch after a freezing rain. Pathetic and cute at the same time.

When the Osbournes hit the airwaves I could only think one thing. How in the world could Sharon Osbourne exploit her husband in such a manner? He suffers from some sort of nervous disorder as a result of extensive drug use. He's in worse shape than my grandfather...who died several years ago! As far as I am concerned, his wife sacrificed Ozzy's dignity for the almighty dollar....although he'll probably never know it.

al contraire - nothing happens in that family that Sharon doesn't have a hand in. Everything is mapped out for maximum exposure & profitablity. Ozzy knows that he's the major Fuckup so he leaves all decisions up to her. Very smart on his part otherwise he'd be dying in the gutter by now. I believe Sharon is a plasticsurgery junkie - forget where I read that. She does look rather good for a normal woman of her age.

Not to defend her (too much) - she is not a below 70 IQ type woman and Ozzy would more than likely be long dead if not for her belief in him. I find it hard to believe he is still alive - amazing the abuse the human body can endure. This helped him believe in himself and make it back to the top after being cast aside by Sabbath.

I've never watched the MTV show - just too sad to watch him mumble and show how bad he is off the stage.

While these are not my original ideas (many I've read at metalsludge.com) I have pondered them considerably and I agree with them and feel that they are quite sad:

I don't blame Randy Rhoads or Sharon Osbourne for what they did, but it is a little convenient to come up now. That could've remained buried.

MTV is sorry for Ozzy, and isn't sure if they will include it in the TV series

If I am incorrect in any statements, I will retract any incorrect statements (I admittedly have not done extensive research on the book or RR thing). If what I have heard though is true, my opinions stand firm.

Ozzy is a losing it.....he was a big hero for me but I have lost all respect, his music seems to lose relevance by the day everytime I se that stupid series and all the sellout stuff he and Sharon are doing right now!

I read a comment by his daughter Aimee, who isn';t in the series and I really feel for her since she actually put the finger on the hurting spot and is totally right about her father ruining his credibilty and heritage!

Hoever I might have gone a little too far in my statement about him being a loser, I think it's mostly his wife Sharon but it says enough he isn't even capable to stand up to her anymore!

I alsop have always been a fan..I ahve seen him live 4 times, but I hate what's going on now...

Ozzy is just lpain selling out...he lpays the biggest hall in Rotterdam (cancelled twice!!!) about 14,000 people...I saw him back in 1993 in the Paradiso club in Amsterdam for 1,100 people..

Just because of that stupid MTV show everbody wants to see that silly old drunkard more as a freak show than a great rock 'n roll concert..

Everybody talks about him and how pathetic he is, whereas he shoudl be a hardrock god and not be exploited by himself and his wife like he is doing now!

I really don't care if is the most pathetic person on earth, if he had done drugs for the rest of his life or drinking too much.
But it's sad that he has ruined his life with those things.
And if he sells out all his shows thats Great !
Thats what we all dream about isn't it.

anyways I guess we all have opinions about Ozzy and the MTV show, I think the Dude deserve the attention and the success!

This hasn't anything to do with attention and succes, he deserves lots of it but not in this way!

Of course I don;t care about teh booze and the drugs, that's his own responsibilty, but i only say he must not be portrayed in teh way they do it now...

One episode was OK maybe even funny, but they have totally ruined him and all the mystique around him.

I think his daughter was entirely right in her desicion not to join in on that circus!

BTW of course I hope Ozzy gets well soon, he is still responsible for some records that are in my all time top 50!

i suspect that Ozzy has parkinson's disease.. the slurred speech (even prior to the mtv show, he was showing symptoms of it), the tremors..

i don't know what the f*ck he was doing on an ATV.. it sounds to me that he hit a hole and got pitched over the handlebars.. (the broken ribs, the collarbone.. the vertebrae.. although the reports say that the spine injury isn't bad.. it's a hairline crack..

the reason i think that he's on the ventilator is the broken ribs.. i'd wanna be sedated too if i had 8 broken ribs.. i cracked 2 of mine and you don't wanna breathe, much less move, with them broke..

anyway.. that's the first that i have heard of SO and RR.. could have been.. dosen't really matter now..

SO has had an enormous amount of plastic surgery.. and, complete f*cking artists are the doctors that made her look this good.. honestly, she was pretty scary before..

as for exploiting Ozzy.. that *is* her job.. she *is* his manager.. and that's what managers do.. capitalize when marketablity is up.. and his is way, way up.. gotta think about retirement.. can't keep touring forever.. i don't blame them one bit for doing what they have been doing..

i don't like the fact that he has become more "cartoonish" now.. but, to appeal to the mass market, he has to live down the crazy Ozzy..

Aimee has her opinion.. it seems like she wants to keep her privacy.. and that's fine.. what about Ozzy's other son, who was on the show in the first season, and for one episode.. i forgot his name.. he's a half-brother to Jack and Kelly.. what about him??

anyway, i hope that Ozzy gets well..

Yeah man, Ozzy still puts a great energy performance.
It makes me wonder even how old and f*cked up he is.
I just love him more and more.
About Sharon, she's a smart busniess woman, and I personally
don't try to think much about her and what she's done to ozzy and his family, but everytime I see her face, I think of money! Laughing
