Yup. Tropical. And I hate to say they don't 'seem' all that rare. I see nice tropical USA Caddies now and then. |

I'd bet the ebay guitar and gbase guitar are one and the same. I emailed the guy from the gbase ad a couple of months ago and he said he was selling it for a repair guy named Rex Rodgers at Team Musical Services in Clearwater. |

My Euro Caddy is a better guitar and one like it can be had for $600. Of course, mine is still $2000. |
How do you know it's a better guitar? |

You can tell by the wood grain it's the same guitar. Wonder when the Gibby T Top got put in there? I sold one of those on ebay awhile back for nearly $100. Awesome humbucker. |

Rex Rogers was THE guy that Elliott had come into the Tropical factory to establish the specs for the guitars Armidillo was going to buy from us. He is the one that made us (for a short time) make the guitars with d$%# baseball bat sized necks! He was tall and had big hands...I guess he though everyone else did also...I hated that shizit...not him but the big baseball necks. |
